Global IT Application Specialist – Procurement, reporting to the Global IT Manager Business Partner Supply Chain, is a member of the Global IT Team dedicated to the Supply Chain functional area. As a key member of the Global IT Supply Chain team, the Application Specialist plays a pivotal role in bridging business needs with technological solutions. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing business critical applications within the domains of Procurement, ensuring application stability, performance, and continuous improvement, while aligning with business needs and IT governance standards.
This role involves close collaboration with global, regional, and local stakeholders to ensure that IT initiatives align with business goals, deliver measurable value, and foster innovation.
Key Duties & Responsabilities
Application Management & Adoption
- Oversee the lifecycle of global applications in Procurement areas (Coupa, Vendor portals / Vendor Master Data management tools).
- Ensure system availability, stability and monitor business adoption
- Maintain accurate documentation of application architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Manage systems enhancements request and delivery plan, in coordination with AMS teams (internal and external providers).
- Support resolution on critical incidents / escalation processes.
- Monitor service performance (SLAs) and implement corrective actions when needed.
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Identify opportunities for process automations and system evolutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead IT projects and collaborate with other IT teams for initiatives related to owned application’s rollout, upgrades and integrations with Campari systems landscape.
Skills & Competencies
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Project Management – Ability to manage technical tasks within complex projects (Agile or Waterfall).
- Business Acumen – Strong knowledge of Procurement processes (sourcing, P2P, supplier collaboration, catalog management…) is essential.
- SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain – understanding of SAP modules (MM / FI) is essential.
- Familiarity with Procurement applications (Coupa, SAP Ariba, others…) is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with Integration technologies (IDoc, EDI, API) and middleware solutions is beneficial.
Additional Skills & Traits
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Problem Solving – Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
Languages
- Fluent English – Required for global collaboration
- Italian – Preferred for local engagement
- Third European language – A plus for broader communication
Education & Experience
- 3+ years in similar roles within multinational or consulting environments, preferably in Procurement area
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
- International experience and a global mindset are essential
- Certifications such as ITIL v4, Agile are considered advantageous
