With a direct reporting line into the Global Procurement Raw Materials&Ingredients Category Manager, the Wine and Other Ingredients Regional Buyer oversees an overall spending scope of circa 200ME at regional level (EMEA) , including wine, grapes, distillates and other ingredients expected to increase over the next years in line with Strategic Planning ambitions.

Procurement is accountable to identify, manage and develop a suppliers base capable of supporting the Company in achieving its goals; as a member of the Global Product Related procurement team, the  Wine and Other Ingredients Regional Buyer is accountable to execute the strategic agenda structured around mainly wine, grapes, distillates and other ingredients.

 

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

  • With the support of the Global Procurement Raw Materials&Ingredients Category Manager, drive and develop a strategic agenda for the Wine and Other Ingredients sourcing at regional level (EMEA)
  • Design compelling Category Sourcing Strategy built across the main sourcing dimensions: availability, profitability, sustainability and operational excellence
  • Own the category sourcing strategy execution at regional level (EMEA), partnering with business functions to define sourcing need and Supplier selection criteria
  • Lead regional negotiations of frame/global contracts
  • Segment supplier and develop SRM strategy according to specific relationship tier
  • Nurture strong internal and external partnerships to secure the category deliveries
  • Promote supply risks analysis and risk mitigation plan in the different steps of procurement processes ​
  • Drive Supplier Lifecycle Management, partnering with other functions to ensure proper qualification processes, auditing, risk management and performance management​
  • Protect profitability, identifying spend optimization opportunities

Internal: Global Procurement Team ;Regional and local Supply Chain Teams (Procurement, Planning, Quality, R&D); Cognac&Champagne Teams; Regional FP&A Team

External: Consultants eventually involved in projects, education institutions

 

Experience & Education & Skills

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience within Procurement organizations departments of multinational companies in consumer goods industry with focus on product related materials sourcing
  • International working experience would be a plus
  • Must be familiar with cross-cultural environment and working across different countries in a matrix organizational context
  • Master Degree in Business Administration or Management Engineering
  • Fluency of English is a must, knowledge of another languages is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with a data driven approach
  • Genuine Interest and curiosity for AI application whilst keeping critical thinking.
