General Description of the Role

 

The role will have responsibility of Mexico’s Campari exports finished goods, import all materials required from production, primary freight forwarders management, drayage, customs brokers, and the Arandas warehouse operation as well as storage warehouse overflows required for Arandas factory on dry goods and finished goods.

The role will have as key responsibilities and primary objectives to develop a safety culture on the operation, develop a supplier relationship management, design and implement KPI’s and PPIs for a continuous improvement, regular performance reviews, service level on target, optimize cost performance measures and team engagement. Developing and supporting innovation and strategy, ensuring that the business consistently achieves its planned goals and objectives. To incorporate tenders, contract management, monthly/quarterly review, with quality measures including claims management and stock counts. Framework of this role also includes budgets, forecast, and strategic planning.

Supporting projects and initiatives generated by regional and global management, relying on data capture and responsive actions from key individuals.

Objectives and Key Responsibilities

 

  • Co-design and deploy Logistics Strategy to provide the best customer service level at the optimal cost. Lead and implement execution through local teams and third-party suppliers.
  • Develop a safety culture on the existing operation
  • Focus on building strong cost performance and service criteria, enabling and improving business results, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Deliver cost savings through the continuous improvement of the different logistics levers, developing and implementing plans to optimise. 
  • Manage expanded growth and maintain leadership and engagement culture of the Arandas Warehouse.
  • Responsible for Arandas Warehouse operations:
    • Capacity (short, mid and log term operational capacity according to company objectives).
    • Inbound (Finished Goods & Materials).
    • Inventory Control (Cicle and W2W counts, inventory adjustments conciliations).
    • Order processing (picking and preparing acourding to customer needs).
    • Outbound (shipping and generation proper documentation).
  • Identify and assess customers needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Develop a strong collaboration with Safety, Quality, Finance and HR to execute strategic plans
  • Develop, monitor organisation of core KPI metrics that will drive the best performance in the integrated supply chain.
  • Jointly manage key Supplier Relationships with Operations & Procurement.
  • Building visibility via QBR’s processes with the key suppliers.
  • SLA’s on contracts, evolve these from existing interfaces, with 3PLs, Customs Agents and Security services, export freight suppliers on existing measures, contractual commitments and performance data.
  • Support and seek advice from global relationship regarding technical content, SLA’s and KPI’s for any new supplier set up.
  • Involvement in any new RTM flows, when acquisitions that are made by Campari group and a key stakeholder in setting up new suppliers.
  • Advise on international freight, innovation, regulatory changes and provide local leadership on Incoterms. Track of Failures or Deviations related with Customer Service and Physical Distribution Service and trigger analysis to identify root causes and drive action plans.
  • Ensure Internal Audit compliance to standards, and company policies.

External:  Logistics Service providers (customs agents, international freight, 3PL).

 

Experience Required

  • 5 years experience in leadership position with strong experience on continuous improvement, warehouse management, import&export operational management
  • 7-10 years of professional experience in supply management areas.
  • Import/Export operation strong knowledge
  • SAP knowledge
  • WMS knowledge

 

Education / Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree on Engineering, or Business Management or related field.
  • Master's Degree in Administration with a Specialty in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred
