Electrical Technician

About the Role
Join our team at the iconic Glen Grant Distillery, where heritage meets innovation. As an Electrical Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping our end-to-end distillery operations running smoothly—from grain to glass.
Working as part of our maintenance team, you’ll support critical processes including milling, mashing, fermentation, distillation, maturation and bottling, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety across site.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems across the full distillery process, ensuring maximum uptime and operational continuity
- Support site utilities (boilers, chillers, compressors, etc.), working in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Diagnose faults and deliver effective, timely solutions across a range of complex equipment
- Follow and continuously improve electrical SOPs and maintenance standards
- Work collaboratively with production teams to support efficient day-to-day operations
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring a safe and organised work environment
- Contribute to a strong safety culture, adhering to all QHSE policies and procedures
- Participate in the on-call rota to support breakdown response when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Completed electrical apprenticeship with strong practical experience
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
- Proven experience working with complex machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing or process environment
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Experience with instrumentation or PLC systems is a plus
- Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance systems is advantageous
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours support
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Experience within distillation, food & beverage, or bottling environments would be highly beneficial, but not essential.
