Mission/Objectives
As part of the House of Brands, American Whiskey team, the Global Brand Manager, Craft Whiskey contributes to the development, activation, and geo-expansion of the Craft Whiskey portfolio globally, with a focus on Russell’s Reserve and Wilderness Trail.
The Brand Manager of Craft Whiskey leads the strategic thinking and implementation of the Craft Whiskey portfolio, managing all stages of the global brand positioning process including annual Diagnostic and brand planning, creative development, performance tracking, market expansion analysis & recommendation, and Innovation pipeline management, under the guidance of the Global Senior Director, American Whiskey.
Working closely with the Global Senior Director, American Whiskey, and in collaboration with cross-functional partners and local markets, the Global Brand Manager helps translate brand strategy into clear plans, tools, and initiatives that support consistent and effective execution across markets.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Strategic Planning & Analysis
Supports the annual global strategic planning process in partnership with the Global Sr. Director, including:
- Contributing to brand and market-level forecasts, leveraging internal and syndicated data sources.
- Supporting inputs for the brand Long-Term Forecast, including growth assumptions and market opportunities – considering 20 years of forecasted growth.
- Monitoring brand performance, profitability, and key market trends, highlighting risks, opportunities, and variances versus plan.
- In partnership with Senior Marketing Director, building the global market expansion plan.
- Supporting the development of category and brand growth initiatives.
- Working with local markets to identify growth opportunities, activation needs, and localization requirements.
- Developing marketing toolkits and strategic materials to guide local market execution across the marketing mix.
New Product Development
Supports the NPD process for the American Whiskey portfolio in collaboration with the American Whiskies team and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the identification and assessment of innovation opportunities across American Whiskey brands.
- Contributing to the development of NPD concepts, ensuring alignment with brand architecture, positioning, and innovation principles.
- Preparing and coordinating briefs for packaging, liquid development, and agency partners.
- Supporting validation processes, including market research, liquid testing, and packaging evaluation where applicable.
- Working with local markets to assess opportunity, relevance, and localization requirements.
- Leading internal innovation process with project manager – including development of business case (incl. financial assumptions, strategic rationale, and KPIs.)
- In partnership with Senior Director, leading the development and execution of global launch plans and support tools across the marketing mix.
- Ensuring brand equity coherence in partnership with the Global Senior Director and relevant local market teams.
Budget
Supports budget planning and tracking for the Craft Whiskey portfolio in partnership with the Global Sr. Director and Finance. Responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and tracking of the Craft Whiskey portfolio budget
- Monitoring monthly forecasts, actuals versus budget, and key spending variances.
- Management of the PO process for the portfolio.
- Identifying opportunities for efficiencies, synergies, and cost savings in A&P spending.
- Preparing budget updates and analysis to support decision-making.
Brand Creative Development & Execution
Lead the development and rollout of brand creative campaigns, assets, and toolkits to strengthen brand equity and improve key funnel metrics. Responsibilities include:
- Contributing to insight-driven agency briefs and creative development processes.
- Coordinating with key markets to ensure creative relevance, feasibility, and localization.
- Leading the development and delivery of global marketing toolkits.
- Helping ensure consistency of brand expression across markets and touchpoints.
- Tracking feedback from markets and supporting continuous improvement of creative assets and activation tools.
Experience & Education
- 5 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or business management, ideally within beverage, spirits, premium FMCG, or a related consumer goods environment.
- Experience working on premium brands is preferred.
- Experience in Whiskey or spirits is a plus.
- Exposure to global or regional brand management is preferred.
- Experience supporting NPD, innovation, or cross-functional marketing projects.
- Undergraduate degree with emphasis in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $101,175-134,900. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors and considerations. In addition to base salary and a generous employee benefits package, employees are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
