General Description of the Role

We are looking for a dynamic, commercially astute professional to bridge marketing strategy with business outcomes. Reporting to the Head of Brands, this role will be the vital connector between brand vision and sales execution—building trust with the sales force, collaborating with CCM managers, and ensuring every initiative drives measurable depletion results.

As the category’s innovation hub, the individual will continuously engage suppliers, partners, and vendors to co-create impactful activations, sponsorships, and campaigns. With strong market immersion and disciplined monitoring & evaluation (M&E), the role will guarantee that each initiative enhances sales, visibility, and ROI.

 Key Responsibilities

 1. Strategic Brand Thinking & Global Alignment

  • Build strategic thinking around the brands in line with the global marketing strategy.
  • Drive global brand pillars in local markets by connecting with the global team and adapting content for India as per brand guidelines.
  • Create differentiated, innovative, and clutter-breaking campaigns with fresh ideas to strengthen brand health scores in India.
  • KPIs: Brand health score uplift, campaign differentiation index, global-to-local content adaptation success.

2. Commercial Engagement, On-Ground Execution & Monitoring

  • Partner closely with CCM managers and sales teams to design depletion-focused programs.
  • Lead category conversations with commercial teams to align priorities and identify growth opportunities.
  • Drive flawless execution of trade activations, sponsorships, and vendor-led initiatives.
  • Establish robust M&E frameworks to measure ROI, depletion impact, and execution quality.
  • KPIs: Depletion uplift %, sales team trust index, execution excellence rating, activity ROI, depletion target achievement.

3. Digital Marketing & Funnel Optimization

  • Manage paid, owned, and earned digital campaigns with measurable outcomes.
  • Build and refine digital funnels (awareness → engagement → conversion → loyalty).
  • Partner with agencies to monitor CTR, CPA, conversion rates, and attribution models.
  • KPIs: Funnel conversion %, digital ROI, industry benchmark comparison.

4. PR & Brand Visibility

  • Drive PR initiatives to strengthen category positioning and brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with media partners, influencers, and agencies to amplify campaigns.
  • KPIs: PR reach, earned media value, brand awareness uplift.

5. Consumer Insights & Market Orientation

  • Use consumer insights to refine campaigns and activations.
  • Track trends, competitor activity, and shopper behavior to inform strategy.
  • KPIs: Insight-to-action ratio, consumer engagement metrics, competitor tracking reports.

6. Ideation & Partnerships

  • Serve as the category’s innovation hub, generating fresh ideas.
  • Engage suppliers, partners, and vendors to co-create sponsorships and initiatives.
  • KPIs: New initiatives launched, supplier engagement score, innovation ROI.

7. Activity Calendar & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed activity calendars with milestones and responsibilities.
  • Provide structured reporting on execution, budget utilization, and ROI.
  • KPIs: Calendar compliance, reporting accuracy, activity completion %.

8. Market Immersion

  • Dedicate ≥7 working days/month in market to monitor activations, engage trade partners, and gather insights.
  • KPIs: Market immersion compliance, trade partner trust index, activation quality score.

 9. Market Research & Consumer Studies

  • Partner with research agencies to design and execute consumer studies (U&A, shopper behavior, segmentation).
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies for campaigns, activations, and category growth.
  • Continuously monitor competitor research and industry benchmarks.
  • KPIs: Research-to-strategy conversion %, consumer insight adoption rate, competitor intelligence reports.

 Capabilities Required

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to build trust with sales teams.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, funnel management, and performance metrics.
  • PR and media relations skills to enhance brand visibility.
  • Analytical rigor in M&E, ROI tracking, and consumer insights.
  • Experience in working with research agencies and applying consumer insights, including understanding consumer behavior, usage & attitudes (U&A), and translating findings into actionable strategies.
  • Creative ideation to drive category innovation.
  • Relationship-building with suppliers, partners, and vendors.
  • Market orientation with continuous immersion and feedback loops.

 Experience Required

  • 4–7 years in mix of AlcoBev + FMCG, ideally with startup exposure for agility and innovation.
  • Proven success in depletion-focused initiatives and commercial team engagement.
  • Experience in digital performance marketing, funnel optimization, and PR campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to track and report ROI at campaign and activity levels.
  • Hands-on experience in market activations, sponsorships, and vendor partnerships.
  • Exposure to consumer insights and ability to translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Experience in leveraging consumer research and U&A studies to shape marketing and commercial strategies.
