Role Overview 

Campari Group is seeking a Brand Ambassador focusing on bringing our iconic Aperitifs to life in the UK.  Being a total UK role, travel across the region is required to build relationships with both Trade and Consumers while representing the Campari Group Aperitifs Portfolio. 

The Brand Ambassador UK – Aperitifs, will be responsible for engaging trade and building brand love for our Aperitifs portfolio across the UK, along with managing the critical implementation of our Perfect Serve strategy across Aperol, Campari, Mondoro, Sarti and Crodino Spritz.   

The keynote program that the Brand Ambassador UK – Aperitifs will be responsible for is our Regional Brand Ambassador (RBA) Program, dedicated to increasing delivery of Perfect Serve across the UK.  This will incorporate budgetary and people management responsibility while displaying leadership qualities to execute in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.  

You will, with the support of the Campari Academy & Trade Advocacy Manager, be leading the development and delivery of educational programs to our customers, creative drinks sessions and execution of the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 and 2 Awards in Spirits that deliver value to our partners and results for our organisation. 

The Brand Ambassador UK – Aperitifs will not just be the go-to expert on the category for the UK on-trade, but a true leader taking our brands to new heights of loyalty and advocacy. 

Working closely with Commercial, Brand and Customer Marketing teams, the role will drive advocacy, education and drinks excellence to build long-term love for Campari brands, strengthen customer partnerships and support commercial growth across the UK market. The successful candidate will report into the Campari Academy & Trade Advocacy Manager. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Drive Advocacy & Education for the Aperitifs Portfolio 

  • Deliver best-in-class moments to connect our brands to the UK On-Trade 

  • Create, maintain and evolve our Aperitifs training strategy to align with the overall Campari Group UK Advocacy vision 

  • Host a multitude of training types at our Campari Academy in London and in the field 

  • Assist the Campari Academy & Trade Advocacy Manager in ideation and delivery of drinks development session for key National and Regional customers 

  • Strong integration and understanding of Italian Culture and how the Campari Group Aperitifs Portfolio help to grow this in the UK. 

 

Deliver 360 Spritz Perfect Serve Program 

  • Evolve and project manage the existing Perfect Serve Program across all on-trade channels at scale 

  • Develop fun, digestible and memorable trainings to embed our Perfect Serve mission 

  • Inspire and upskill our Regional Brand Ambassadors (RBAs) to his all-success markers across rapport building, trainings and spot checks 

  • Work with the Campari Academy & Trade Advocacy Manager on creating a digital-forward solution to influence and upskill bartenders in all locations of the UK 

  • Manage agency relationships to ensure Secret Shopper initiatives are delivered successfully  

  • Be responsible for all budgetary and personnel management related to this program 

 

WSET 

  • Deliver, alongside the Campari Academy & Trade Advocacy Manager, compliant and inspiring trainings under the Wine & Spirits Education Trust WSET) framework, along with administrative tasks as required 

  • Undergo all relevant training to be able to deliver session independently of the Campari Academy & Trade Advocacy Manager 

 

 

Campari Academy Seminars 

  • Work with the Campari Academy & Trade Advocacy Manager to develop one (1) keynote seminar series to be taken across the UK to increase understanding on the Aperitifs Category  

  • Managing internal and external stakeholders to deliver highly attended and repurposable content that we can deploy across various customers and segments of the UK On-Trade 

  • Maintain compliance with all legal guidelines surrounding talent and content  

 

Campari House Hospitality  

  • Lead and deliver exceptional hospitality occasions in liaison with the Campari House Guest Experience team to a multitude of internal and external stakeholders 

  • Work with the Campari Academy & Trade Advocacy Manager on maintaining compliant and clear workspaces in the Campari Academy  

 

Key Relationships

  • You will report to the Campari Academy & Trade Advocacy Manager 

 

Other Internal Relationships: 

  • On Trade Sales Teams across all channels to build belief in the Training Programs you will be responsible for building 

  • Consumer, Customer & Channel Marketing team to support and deliver excellence across Brand & Channel objectives 

  • Campari House EHS & Guest Experience teams 

 

External Relationships: 

  • Key On-Trade customers 

  • Bartenders 

  • Third Party Brand Ambassadors 

 

Experience and Skills 

Experience: 

  • 5 years+ On Trade Bartender / Brand Ambassador experience (UK or  Global) 

  • Experience of having worked with some of the UK’s best bars 

  • Up to date with latest category/drinks trends 

  • Preferable to have strong knowledge of the UK On Trade 

  • Well-networked across UK On Trade desired 

  • Extensive technical knowledge of the Spirits category/sub-categories  and Campari brands 

  • Experience in managing time and resource across different  workstreams, inclusive of leading projects and collaborating cross- functionally 

  • Experience of developing Category/Brand Training Programmes from  inception to presentation 

  • Sales experience highly regarded 

 

Skills:

  • Ability to create cocktail lists across all levels of the On Premise 

  • Ability to convey key message and passion for our brands in a highly  engaging and memorable manner
