General Description of the role

 

The successful candidate will play a key role in representing and growing the Campari Portfolio of brands in the market through effective partnership with the local third-party distributors and their sales and marketing teams.

 

Mission/Objectives

 

The mission of the role is to deliver business results in the assigned country, by designing and executing channel plans and portfolio strategy, ensuring a coherent approach and deployment in the market. The role will drive the day-to-day relationship with the third-party distributors and their

teams, aiming at identifying and capturing all new business opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

Strategy and planning

 

  • Defines and agrees yearly channel & customer marketing plan jointly with distributor’s team, with the ultimate goal of enhancing Brand Building, visibility, consumer/shopper and bartender engagement at the point of sale; ensure execution of said plans through the effective management of third-party distributors (activation in terms of assortment, pouring, visibility, drink list activation, trade and engagement activities).
  • Identifies portfolio optimization and enlargement opportunities and implements new launches, in line with the strategic directions for the region.
  • Lead the day-by-day relationship with the distributors, mastering the key Market performance indicators. He/she analyzes the business evolution and the competitive set, builds awareness of on-going trends and relevant insights in the markets to identify possible growth levers, with the final aim of defining the best Market strategy.   
  • Responsible for business planning and monthly sales forecasting process to ensure effective and timely shipments and accurate financial planning.
  • Closely liaises with Sales Support Specialists to ensure that best in class customer service is provided to our customers;
  • He/she supports the Area Manager in driving the assigned shipment/depletion and inventory targets, understanding the impact to the P&L and co-leading the Country & portfolio strategy.
  • Supported by the CCM Manager Asia PM’s, develops the outlet segmentation for the on-trade channel, defining the drivers for the clusterization and for evaluating the outlet potential, with the aim to identify and select the most influential consumption accounts for the brand building development of our key focus brands.
  • Responsible for the TM A&P budget assigned for his/her Channel (On trade)
  • Performs field visits together with Area Manager and distributors in a systematic and recurring way to get firsthand insights on the different outlets and locations, incl. issues and opportunities.
  • Manage and track BTL activities’ performance, CCM spending and ROI; analyses consumer trends and insights from market and competitors, in store visibility activities, sales performances in order to propose new strategies and activities and provide inputs into the yearly strategic & budget exercises;
  • Manage selected project(s) with a clear mandate and accountability and a dedicated budget;
  • Maintain high share of mind of the Distributor’s team toward Campari Group portfolio.
  • CO-lead 3rd space activations together with the support of local distributor and central Marketing and CCM Asia PMs team;

 

 

 

Key Relationships

 

Internal: Senior Area Manager APM, Marketing, CCM & BA teams, Demand and Customer service teams

External: Third Party Distributors sales & marketing teams, On-Trade customers / Outlets

 

Education / Experience Required

 

  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant sales and customer marketing experience, within a structured multinational company
  • Relevant experience in the Spirits, Wine and Beer industry is a strong plus
  • Knowledge and experience in the on-premise is a strong plus
  • Having managed third parties distributors is a plus
  • Experience in premium brands development in a structured multinational context (incl. being exposed to different marketing roles: global / regional / local / trade marketing etc…)
  • Economics / Marketing / Business Administration University Degree
