General Description of the Role

This position is responsible for leading execution of Campari global manufacturing strategies in Americas driving regional growth and capabilities.

The position leads a team of regional operations managers and senior managers developing and executing manufacturing capabilities on multiple product lines with multiple regional customers.

The role requires an individual with manufacturing, program management and entrepreneurial skills with the capability to lead co-development/co-production strategies in the regional marketplace.
Requires innovative approaches to complex problems for non-standard capture and execution of programs in various countries with varying degrees of manufacturing expertise.

 

Mission/Objectives

The mission of this role is to lead a regionally integrated Manufacturing organization as well as lead Capex strategies and deployment, in order to ensure proper product supply at the right quality and cost.

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Lead a regional manufacturing organization in order to ensure the timely delivery and right first-time execution of manufacturing activities.
  • Decide, in alignment with global policies, on third parties co-packing strategies in different regions and businesses.
  • Provide operational leadership and and strategic support to CAPEX projects.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing operations are compliant with Campari Safety Standards and Quality requirements at all time.
  • Maintain the operational facility in the highest level of Campari compliance in accordance with customer expectations.
  • Build, train, sustain and motivate a multi technology teams capable of achieving all productivity targets and output requirements in order to guarantee to the customer (internal and external) on time & in full delivery.
  • Assist the Site Management in all sites in establishing strategic prioritization by setting relevant operational objectives.
  • Implement and execute the right policies in order to sustain an environment of continuous improvement, optimizing schedule adherence, refining operational efficiency, and increasing profitability and productivity.
  • Support the identification and introduction of new technologies.
  • Represent all manufacturing operations on the Regional Supply Chain Leadership Team.
  • Share responsibility for short and long-term resources and facility planning, and perform managerial duties as required, e.g. budgets, personnel performance appraisals, etc.
  • Work directly with Quality Assurance, Finance, Engineering, and Project Management functional areas to plan and implement the execution of Campari activities across all manufacturing operations.
  • Support project governance activities (e.g., S&OP and NPI).
  • Responsible for participating in and representing all manufacturing operations at regional level in Pre-approval Inspections, audits and client meetings/audits.
  • Implement quality and business metrics for assessing productivity/profitability of manufacturing.
  • Execute the budget requirements for each fiscal year and supervise the procurement of appropriate capital items as required for projects.
  • Ensure all company disciplinary policies are followed consistently at all manufacturing sites in Americas.
  • Implementing LEAN operating culture at the M&E Americas organization to maximize employees engagement while minimazing unnecessary costs and maintaining reqired quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, plamming and labour regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of cost-effective manufacturing strategies to appropriately support the business, in line with the Technical  Operations operating model.
  • Coach, mentor and develop his team
  • Lead virtual teams and interact with multiple groups in Campari to develop and implement new product launch strategy.

 

Key Relationships

Internal: Regional SC Lead Team; local site management teams

External: Suppliers and providers.

 

Experience & Education

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Suplly Chain, Engineering or Business
  • A minimum of 10 years combined experience in Operations/Supply Chain and/or Strategic Planning with a track record of success is required;
  • Experience leading regional, cross – sector Supply Chain teams is required;
  • Process Excellence/Six Sigma, APICS and/or Project Management certification is preferred;
  • Previous Supply Chain experience at leadership level and experience in managing managers is required;
  • Experience with 3rd party manufactures and regulatory requirements/policy is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and drive alignement in a global environment is required.
  • Prior experience in designing and deploying efficiency/productivity improvement initiatives is preferred.

  • Must have working knowledge of best in class clinical supply operations.
