General Description of the Role
The Associate Customer Marketing Manager (ACMM) supports the National Account On‑Premise team by managing operational, analytical, and program‑related deliverables that ensure seamless execution of national, regional, and local programs. This role is highly cross‑functional, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective coordination with internal teams, external partners, and agencies.
Mission / Objectives
The role is designed to support high-impact initiatives through strong coordination, prioritization, and executional rigor. The ACMM helps commercialize and execute annual marketing plans for priority customers and brands and develops RFPs aligned to customer drivers and consumer trends. The ACMM also manages account activations and sampling (including Flagship and plus-up) and maintains tools that support planning and tracking of programs and key events.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy: The ACMM contributes thoughtful input, identifies patterns across customer needs, and supports continuous improvement of tools and resources that enable effective selling.
- Work with the Customer Marketing Manager (CMM) and NAON sales teams to customize national plans for key customers.
- Help manage the briefing process and build RFPs for assigned customers.
- Regularly update trend decks and selling resources to enable stronger RFPs.
- Maintain key resource and content libraries such as the internal Cocktail Database and Custom Program Library.
- Build strong partnerships with House of Brands, Sales Managers, and customers to support integrated communication across teams.
- Provide strategic input by identifying customer patterns and supporting continuous improvement of selling tools.
Planning: This role supports planning processes by ensuring clarity, alignment, and readiness across internal teams, distributors, and agency partners.
- Work with the CMM to create annual, customer-specific plans for key accounts.
- Plan NAON takedowns of global and national on-premise initiatives.
- Assist in distilling annual marketing plans to distributors and aligning support with distributor goals.
- Distill and present annual brand plans to key agency partners and brief them on incremental on-premise needs.
- Support key meetings with Sales Leadership and Distributor Partners, including Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Manage key events and tradeshows.
- Support Customer Marketing team in internal presentations to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to integrated communication across Customer Marketing, Brand Marketing, National Accounts, and Field Sales and Marketing.
- Track and open vendor POs, ensuring timely invoicing and accruals.
- Manage submission of partnership documents with Legal.
- Help plan and manage key areas of the customer support budget, including sampling and Flagship accounts.
- Responsibilities may fluctuate throughout the year based on alignment with planning cycles, customer priorities, and key on-premise initiatives.
Execution: Executional responsibilities focus on coordination, follow-through, and consistency to ensure programs are delivered as intended and aligned with brand standards and NAON priorities.
- Develop customer-specific POS to drive display and awareness; optimize orders for available budget across regions and follow up with local team to ensure execution and documentation
- Work across preferred sampling vendors to execute retailer demos; coordinate POS for demos to ensure executional excellence
- Run point on Buyer Education Trips
- This work requires strong attention to detail, coordination, and follow-through rather than independent field execution.
Performance Management: Performance responsibilities emphasize learning, optimization, and visibility rather than reporting for reporting’s sake.
- Collect Sales feedback on programming, POS, and execution to inform optimization for future planning cycles.
- Track agency budgets and provide POV on annual SOWs and burn reports.
- Manage key tracking tools such as the RFP tracker and other execution-monitoring systems.
- Share insights cross-functionally to support continuous improvement and future planning.

The role requires the ability to communicate clearly across functions and adapt messaging to different audiences.
Experience Required
- 3+ years in Customer/Trade Marketing, CPG/Bev Alc Brand Marketing, or Retail Media
- Experience in adjacent customer, trade, or commercial marketing roles will be considered, provided the candidate demonstrates strong on-premise or customer-focused marketing fundamentals.
- Experience with syndicated data and key partners (Nielsen, Numerator, VIP, Technomic and Datassentials) preferred.
- Experience managing agencies, vendors, or distributors preferred.
- Beverage alcohol experience required; spirits experience preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
