General Description of the Role

The Associate Customer Marketing Manager (ACMM) supports the National Account OffPremise team by managing operational, analytical, and programrelated deliverables that ensure seamless execution of national, regional, and local programs. This role is highly crossfunctional, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective coordination with internal teams, external partners, and agencies.

Mission / Objectives

The ACMM supports the commercialization and execution of annual marketing plans for priority customers and brands. They help to create factbased selling materials, support customerspecific activation plans, and manage planning tools that help track and optimize program execution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy: The ACMM contributes thoughtful input, identifies patterns across customer needs, and supports continuous improvement of tools and resources that enable effective selling.

  • Partner with the Customer Marketing Manager (CMM) and NAOFF sales teams to adapt national plans for local execution.
  • Help develop and refine customerspecific selling stories and update key selling tools to inform retailer pitch work.
  • Build strong working partnerships across Brand Marketing, Sales Leadership, and key customers; supporting consistent communication across teams.

Planning: This role supports planning processes by ensuring clarity, alignment, and readiness across internal teams, distributors, and agency partners.

  • Collaborate with the CMM to develop annual customerspecific plans for key retailers.
  • Create quarterly programming decks summarizing recommended programming and rationale.
  • Lead development of Innovation and VAP decks for National Accounts and Regional Sales teams.
  • Help to translate annual marketing plans for distributors; align support with distributor goals.
  • Monitor market trends and provide proactive recommendations.
  • Support key Sales and Distributor meetings, including Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Prepare internal Customer Marketing presentations for crossfunctional partners.
  • Manage vendor POs, ensuring timely invoicing and accrual accuracy.
  • Oversee submission of Legal partnership documents (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, etc.).
  • Contribute to smooth communication across Customer Marketing, Brand Marketing, National Accounts, and Field Sales.
  • Responsibilities may fluctuate throughout the year based on alignment with planning cycles, customer priorities, and key off-premise initiatives.

Execution: Executional responsibilities focus on coordination, follow-through, and consistency to ensure programs are delivered as intended and aligned with brand standards and NAOFF priorities.

  • Develop customerspecific merchandising tools to support display execution across formats; optimize budgets and follow up with field teams for execution and documentation.
  • Coordinate sampling vendor partners and ensure POS readiness for demos.
  • Research and execute thirdparty tieins in partnership with the CMM.
  • Partner with the CMM, NAM, and Sales to ensure flawless execution of soldin programs.
  • This work requires strong attention to detail, coordination, and follow-through rather than independent field execution.

Performance Management: Performance responsibilities emphasize learning, optimization, and visibility rather than reporting for reporting’s sake.

  • Measure and evaluate program performance; share insights and recommendations with Marketing and Sales.
  • Collect Sales feedback on programming and POS to improve future planning.
  • Track agency budgets and provide input on annual SOWs and burn reports.
  • Share insights cross-functionally to support continuous improvement and future planning.

Internal: Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, Insights & Analytics, NAOFF Sales, Field Sales, Field Marketing

External: Agencies, Data Partners, Distributor Partners (as needed)

The role requires the ability to communicate clearly across functions and adapt messaging to different audiences.

Experience Required

  • 3+ years in Customer/Trade Marketing, CPG/Bev Alc Brand Marketing, or Retail Media
    • Experience in adjacent customer, trade, or commercial marketing roles will be considered, provided the candidate demonstrates strong off-premise or customer-focused marketing fundamentals.
  • Experience with syndicated data and key partners (Nielsen, Numerator, VIP) preferred.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, or distributors preferred.
  • Beverage alcohol experience required; spirits experience preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
