General Description of the Role
The Brand Ambassador will play a crucial role in inspiring, engaging and educating our consumers, customers and Camparistas on our brands, and the categories they play in. This involves building relationships, driving brand awareness and contributing to the overall success of our marketing strategy.
Mission and Objectives
In line with the Australian Business Unit’s Mission to “Challenge Australians to discover richer drinking experiences”, the Brand Ambassador role seeks to; Engage and Educate (Australian & New Zealand) bartenders to become genuine Advocates for our brands and company.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Engagement
-
Support Field Sales Teams & State Based Trade Activation Team (engage customers, develop partnerships, support ranging’s, increase/maintain/secure/foster key trade relationships);

Support National & State Account Team (customer conferences, customer trainings, consumer tastings);
-
Assist Marketing with planning, coordinating, and executing, brand led activations (consumer events, brand specific trade shows, content creation, photoshoots);
-
Provide trade media recommendations where required;

Build & execute a best-in-class advocacy program for Campari Academy.
Education
-
Develop, deploy, roll-out and facilitate, against Team Vision, the full Campari Academy Masterclass Program;

Assist in creating training content, tools, and learning materials for the Campari Academy;

Assist Marketing to develop signature drinks, tasting notes & product copy for CA’s portfolio;

Educate Campari employees on product attributes, history and usage;

Educate Bartenders (all levels) and influential bar managers on portfolio brands, category and beverage industry notions through a detailed 12-month Training Program (NAG – BAG alignment).
Advocacy
-
Support Local Bartender Community through the Campari Academy.
Digital Marketing
-
Assist the Trade Advocacy Manager in building an engaging digital ecosystem that aims to build the Campari Academy CRM;

Support the Social Media Manager in developing trend leading and engaging social media content;
-
Maintain a Campari Ambassador social media presence that communicates with bartenders Australia wide to inspire, engage and grow the Campari Academy brand.
Key Relationships
Internal: Reports to National Bartender Advocacy & Engagement Manager who reports to the Customer Marketing Director.
The State Brand Ambassadors (SBA) will be key members of the Customer Marketing Team and will have a close working relationship with the State Commercial Field Teams.
The SBA will also support the National On Premise Business Manager, National Business Managers, National Account Managers in developing key customer relationships.
The SBA will also have a close working relationship with the Marketing Team and Brand Managers within it
The SBA will build a relationship with National off premise business managers to continue to support retail partners
External: Key Operators and Influencers in the On Prem. A and A+ Bartenders. Trade Media personalities and occasionally PR, Creative, Experiential agencies.
Experience Required
-
Liquor Industry experience essential, with strong On-Premise focus;

Knowledge of the Liquor industry and regulatory environment, and communication guidelines;

Strong relationships in On Premise and Bartender community;
-
Training Leadership roles an advantage;

Social media acumen/ understanding of digital communication;
-
Experience in event planning or coordination is valuable;

Candidates with experience in content creation, including teaching content, are encouraged to apply.
Education / Professional Qualifications
Degree or qualification in marketing is desirable but not essential.

This competency directly links to the Camparista program which includes three levels of knowledge; Camparista, Camparista Red Passion and Camparista Grand Master. This role is expected to achieve Grand Master level.
