General Description of the Role
This role is a hybrid role combining market-level business partnering and regional analytics. Responsible for delivering financial insights to APAC supply chain teams through cost forecasting, financial analysis, and performance tracking. Key focus areas include identifying cost-saving opportunities, improving operational efficiency, and supporting decision-making across logistics, procurement, and planning functions.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Month-End & Year-End Closing: Support closing activities, including accrual preparation and product costing.
- Monthly Financial Analysis: Analyze supply chain financials for APAC across inventory, procurement, co-manufacturing fees, and logistics costs.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Act as an in-market FP&A analyst for selected APAC markets—prepare financial forecasts, present insights to senior management, and coordinate with GBS for timely system uploads and quarterly costing exercises.
- Template & Model Development: Design and maintain financial models and templates for the region to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Timely Reporting: Ensure accurate and on-time submission of RBs, SBPs, and budgets in group reporting systems.
Business Partnering
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with APAC supply chain and finance teams to align on key KPIs such as COGS index and inventory targets.
- Project Support: Contribute to strategic initiatives including route-to-market changes, value chain analysis, and supply network optimization.
Reporting relationship
The Supply Chain Finance Analyst reports to the APAC Supply Chain Finance manager and works closely in the capacity of a Business Partner with the local supply chain, local finance, regional supply chain team, and Group SC FP&A and GBS.
Experience Required, Skills & Attributes
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in finance or audit, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Education: Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or CPA.
- Skills: Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
- Cultural Adaptability: Comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work across functions, perform data analysis, identify trends, and develop commercial solutions to address issues.
- Innovative Thinking: Ability to challenge the status quo.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills are essential; experience with Power Pivot and Power Query is advantageous.
- System Knowledge: Good knowledge of SAP, SAP BI, BPC preferred.
