General Description of the Role
The Logistics & Data Analytics Specialist is responsible for managing Italy pre-invoicing activities, preparing monthly cost variances (Bridge), drafting – in coordination with the Transport Manager – the export logistics budget, as well as its revisions and the logistics tenders carried out during the year. In addition to the areas mentioned above, the role is also responsible for the logistics projects assigned.
Mission/Objectives
Responsible for meeting deadlines related to assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities & Activities
- Management of logistics cost variances between actuals, budget revisions and budget.
- Preparation of Budget Revisions together with the Transport Manager.
- Preparation of the Italy Transport Budget together with the Transport Manager.
- Coordination of tender processes for the following areas: Italy Transport / Shuttle & Groupage.
- Rate analysis / service level evaluation; quarterly meetings with suppliers to monitor service level performance.
- Management of “Cost Trim” projects.
- Management of customer credit/debit notes.
- Italy cost pre-invoicing.
- Management of customer complaints in Italy (interface with Quality).
- Management of transport anomalies (breakages / shortages).
- Point of contact for auditors in case of specific requests.
- Operational Transport Management (Primary/Direct – backup).
Logistics Projects Italy:
o Development of KPI sets to assess transport service levels
o Creation of dashboards for monitoring pallet exchange (quantities and value) with related accounting interfaces; control of pallet vouchers with customers
o Management of digital archive of transport documents – identify market solutions to meet this requirement

Experience, Education & Personal Traits
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Management
• Fluent English and Italian (both are a must)
• At least 3 years of experience in Export Transportation in mid/large organizations
• SAP knowledge
• Expert in using MS Office package; advanced Excel skills
• Strong customer service orientation combined with a cost optimization mindset
• Ownership in delivering results; high energy and drive
• Self-confident, organized team player
• “Speed over perfection” approach in problem solving
• Effective communication skills with vendors and colleague
