General Description of the Role

The International Tax Intern will support the Group Tax function in international tax matters, contributing to both recurring compliance activities and project-based initiatives.

The role provides exposure to cross-border structures, tax frameworks, and operational tax processes within a multinational environment.

Mission & Learning Objectives

  • You will learn more about international tax regulations and internal policies by supporting the Group Tax function in ensuring consistency
  • Develop a practical understanding of key international tax frameworks and their application
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical analysis and documentation supporting tax activities

Main Key Responsibilities and Activities

Global Minimum Tax (GMT): support i) the execution of GMT compliance activities for the Group and ii) the calculation requested for the Group tax accounting closures

Intercompany agreements support management: i) support the drafting, review, and amendment of intercompany agreements and ii) assist in maintaining and updating the Group intercompany agreements Database

Permanent Establishment (PE) Analysis & Monitoring: i) support the identification and analysis of PE cases across the Group and ii) contribute to the preparation of internal memoranda and/or guidelines

Effective Tax Rate (ETR) analysis: i) monitoring of ETR of Group legal entities and ii) support the ETR analysis performed for the Group tax accounting closures

Controlled Foreign Entities Monitoring: support periodic monitoring activities relating to Controlled Foreign Entities (CFC)

Group Reorganization & Restructuring: support the tax analysis of corporate reorganizations, also by preparation of technical documentation and working files for project analysis

Tax Research Analysis: i) perform tax research using specialized databases (e.g. IBFD) and publicly available official documentation (e.g. OECD and international guidelines) and ii) assist in summarizing technical findings into structured outputs (e.g. notes, internal memoranda, presentations)

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education: Degree in Economics or Law (completed or in progress)

Technical Skills

  • Strong interest in international taxation, with a balanced legal and economic mindset
  • Good analytical and data handling skills, with the ability to work on financial and tax data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong tax research capabilities

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with guidance

Languages

  • Fluency in Italian and English is required

Selection Process Overview
