Role Purpose

The Global Logistics CoE Manager is responsible for defining, standardizing, and deploying best-in-class logistics practices at a global level. The role aims to improve service, cost, performance, and compliance by providing scalable operating models, strong governance, and continuous improvement capabilities to regional organizations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Governance

  • Define the global logistics strategy in line with Supply Chain and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain global standards, policies, and guidelines for transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Lead global logistics governance and ensure consistent process adoption across regions.

 Process Excellence & Standardization

  • Design and implement end-to-end harmonized logistics processes across regions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, productivity programs).
  • Support network optimization and operating model decisions (3PL vs 4PL).

Performance & Analytics

  • Define and monitor global logistics KPIs (logistics cost, OTIF, lead time, productivity).
  • Ensure standardized reporting and full data transparency.
  • Support target setting and performance improvement plans.

 Supplier & Partner Management

  • Collaborate with Procurement in the selection and management of global 3PLs, carriers, and freight forwarders.
  • Support the definition of contracts, SLAs, and performance management frameworks.
  • Drive supplier base rationalization and best-practice sourcing strategies.

 Digital & Transformation

  • Contribute to logistics digitalization initiatives (TMS, WMS, automation, advanced analytics).
  • Support global ERP and Supply Chain system roll-outs.
  • Act as the logistics CoE reference for transformation and change programs.

 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Service, IT, and Finance.
  • Support regions in addressing complex logistics topics and deploying best practices.
  • Influence global stakeholders without direct hierarchical authority.

 

 

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 8–15+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain roles.
  • Proven experience in global or regional coordination positions.
  • Background in FMCG, Pharma, Industrial, 3PL/4PL or Consumer Goods is a plus.

 Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • International and domestic transportation
    • Warehousing and distribution
    • 3PL / 4PL operating models
    • Logistics KPIs and performance management
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP), TMS, and WMS.
  • Solid process, governance, and standardization mindset.

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented mindset.
  • Pragmatic, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills in multicultural environments.

 Education & Languages

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Additional languages are a plus.
