Role/Mission/Objectives

With a direct reporting line into the Global Proc SC & SG&A Director, the Global Industrial Senior Buyer leads strategic sourcing for the spend categories including industrial Capex and Opex, Commodities energies and Co-manufacturing and oversees an overall spend of circa 200M€ at global level.

Procurement is accountable to identify, manage and develop a suppliers base capable of supporting the Company in achieving its goals; as a member of the Global Indirect procurement team, the Global Industrial Senior Buyer is accountable to execute the strategic agenda structured around the related spend categories.

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

  • Develop the category strategy & risk profile and drive its implementation in close alignment with Global Procurement SC & SG&A Director
  • Collaborate with Business Stakeholders and Regional Procurement teams to receive inputs necessary for the development of an effective category strategy as well as to cascade down the approved global category strategy
  • Identify and prioritize category opportunities/synergies over the 4 Procurement Pillars (availability, profitability, sustainability and operational excellence) and quantify potential benefits.
  • Support Global Procurement SC & SG&A Director to define Category targets
  • Manage cross-functional teams and act as Project Manager to coordinate category initiatives
  • Conduct regular market analysis on a Global/Regional level to identify cost reduction and supplier base opportunities
  • Segment suppliers and develop SRM strategy according to specific relationship tier
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Lead negotiations of frame/global contracts and manage supplier relationships with Global suppliers
  • Optimize category efficiency through implementing suppliers, product & process standardization and automation in close alignment with Global Procurement Center Of Excellence
  • Report regular category-specific results and KPI’s

 

Experience & Education & Skills

 

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience within Procurement organizations departments of multinational companies in consumer goods industry with focus on industrial procurement
  • International working experience would be a plus
  • Must be familiar with cross-cultural environment and working across different countries in a matrix organizational context
  • Master Degree in Engineering or Administration
  • Fluency of English is a must, knowledge of another languages is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with a data driven approach
