General Description of the Role

Campari manages a complex and highly integrated SAP ecosystem, including SAP systems on Microsoft Azure Cloud, SAP S/4HANA in SAP RISE Private Cloud, and SaaS solutions such as S/4HANA Public Cloud, IBP, C4C, SuccessFactors, and Concur.

We are looking for an SAP Basis Sr Specialist with a strong focus on governance and operational coordination. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing external vendors, ensuring service quality, adherence to best practices, and the overall stability of the SAP platform.

The Global IT Sr Specialist SAP Basis is a member of the SAP Platform team.

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • SAP Platform Oversight: Ensure the proper functioning of SAP environments managed by vendors, enforcing compliance with corporate policies and security standards
  • Vendor Coordination: Align and monitor external partners managing SAP infrastructure, ensuring SLA compliance and technical best practices
  • Incident Management & War Room Leadership: Lead the resolution of critical incidents by coordinating war room activities with internal and external teams
  • Maintenance Windows Management: Supervise the planning and execution of maintenance windows, aligning with business needs and ensuring operational continuity
  • Integration Management: Oversee the proper functioning of SAP certificates, connectors, and agents, ensuring seamless integration between IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS systems
  • SAP Patching & Security Notes: Supervise and coordinate the implementation of security and maintenance patches across all SAP components (SAP NetWeaver, HANA DB, Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connector, etc.), ensuring alignment with company standards. Ensure the application of SAP Security Notes as per best practices to maintain a secure and updated environment
  • Monitoring & Performance Management: Utilize SAP Cloud ALM for proactive platform monitoring and alert management
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Oversee Azure Backup implementation strategies and ensure compliance with business continuity plans
  • SAP BTP & Subaccount Management: Support the management of SAP BTP, ensuring knowledge of login principles and the technical administration of subaccounts (patching, downtime, etc.)
  • SSO Configuration & Management: Ensure the configuration and governance of Single Sign-On (SSO) in line with corporate security policies
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Ensure the maintenance and continuous update of internal documentation, validating knowledge transfer (KT) from projects to operations
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Campari’s IT teams and suppliers to guarantee effective integration of technological solutions

 

Experience & Education

  • A 5-year experience in similar roles working in IT in consultancy or multinational complex organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines (Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science)
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Proven experience in working cross-functionally
  • Experience in managing outsourced SAP environments, with a strong focus on governance and vendor oversight
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP RISE and its management framework
  • Experience in incident management and war room leadership, with the ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders
  • Expertise in handling maintenance windows while ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Strong understanding of SAP certificates, connectors, and agents to support integrations across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud ALM for monitoring and managing SAP platforms
  • Proficiency in SAP BTP administration, including subaccount patching, downtime management, and login principles
  • Experience in managing SAP on Microsoft Azure, including backup implementation using Azure Backup
  • Expertise in configuring and managing SSO in SAP environments
  • Strong knowledge of SAP patching and SAP Security Notes implementation following best practices
  • Understanding of mounting protocols, including Samba and NFS, for managing storage and file system integrations
  • Excellent coordination and collaboration skills in a global and structured organization
  • SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus
