General Description of the Role
The “Global IT Services Improvement Intern – Supply Chain” is a new role in the Global IT team reporting to the Global IT Supply Chain Domain Architect, part of the Supply Chain Centre of Excellence.
This internship is designed for a curious, open‑minded, digitally fluent talent who wants to learn all the best practices to design and improve solid, effective and efficient IT services supporting the supply chain area. This is a great opportunity to learn how modern IT organizations operate, foster the continuous improvement culture across teams and prove hands-on how value-focus, technology, AI, and automation can re-shape and improve the way of working across several geographies.
The focus of the position is:
- Familiarize and review the “as is” IT services management approach and practices in the Supply Chain domain
- Support the identification and prioritization of improvement opportunities in “as is” services
- Be the catalyst for the introduction of improvements and best practices leading to increased observability, proactive application optimization, incident reduction, user satisfaction, automation of recurring tasks, across a broad range of supply chain applications maintained by multiple vendors
Mission/Objectives
Support Global IT leaders in reimagining and improving the Application Maintenance & Support model for Supply Chain applications. Contribute a fresh, candid mindset to challenge existing practices and identify new, more effective ways of working. Participate in activities related to service quality improvement, automation opportunities, knowledge management, and process optimization. Support service reviews, KPI dashboards, documentation updates, and performance analysis activities. Collaborate with multiple teams to understand how IT services are delivered and help conceptualize the next generation of support practices.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
- Help analyze and map current support processes to identify improvement areas.
- Contribute to the design of new service governance practices
- Support the definition and tracking of KPIs and service metrics used to evaluate performance and drive improvement.
- Explore ways AI can streamline support tasks, documentation maintenance, and communication flows.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for automation of recurring service activities.
- Help maintain and improve knowledge bases, learning materials, and support documentation.
- Support content creation for training sessions and internal communications.
- Contribute to quality checks on documentation, testing activities, or small improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with IT colleagues, key business users, and external partners to understand how services operate.
- Participate in meetings (e.g., service reviews, performance discussions, team standups) as a listener and contributor.
- Drive the implementation of Continuous Service Improvement practices to reduce recurring issues, enhance problem management, fasten resolution of incidents, improve productivity, and increase end-user satisfaction

Internal: Global IT Supply Chain Domain Architect, Global IT Supply Chain Business Partners, SAP Platform Service Managers, Integration Platform Service Managers, Infrastructure teams, Business Key Users and Process Owners
External: external technology providers, service providers, innovation vendors
Experience & Education
- Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Good communication skills and an inclusive, collaborative attitude.
- Fluency in English.
Additional nice-to-have qualifications:
- Fluency in other languages
- International working experience (having lived and worked abroad)
- Experience in ITIL or application support roles
- Previous experience on ITSM tools
- Experience of working in a matrix organization and/or Cross Functional roles in FMCG Company
- Exprerience with project and/or agile management methodologies
