General Description of the Role 

 

The "Global IT Project Manager - Business Integrations“ is responsible for providing strategic technology support and guidance to the Global M&A team also facilitating pre-deal IT Due Diligence for Mergers & Acquisitions.  

S/he has a crucial role in managing M&A Integration & Market Expansion Initiatives from IT perspective in collaboration and Global Business Integration functions. 

 

The "Global IT Project Manager - Business Integrations“ will act as: 

  • Project Manager for Business Integration Projects (M&A Integration & Market Expansion Initiatives) 

  • liaison between M&A Team and IT Department ensuring technology requirements/ risks/ opportunities are identified, assessed and addressed during IT Due Diligence phase 

 

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong Technical & Business acumen, capable of driving technology initiatives to support Global M&A Function achieving Market expansion objectives. 

As IT Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Integration Projects are executed on time and in budget contributing to the Organization's growth and long-term success. 

 

The role is a key component of the Campari Group OneIT Organization, cooperating with Global & Regional IT teams.  

S/he will interact with several Stakeholders from all Company Functions both at Global & Regional/ Local level.  

Strong leadership capabilities mixed with team work and commitment to achieve defined objectives represent key success factors. 

 

 

Mission/Objectives  

  • Collaborate with Global and Regional IT & with Global and Regional Business to drive seamless post-deal Integrations and Market Expansion Projects (for the assigned Project)  

  • Identify & analyze IT requirements/ needs for Integrations and Market Expansion Projects  

  • Lead IT solutions implementation as PM ensuring the Project will be within approved “Scope, Time & Budget”  

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities 

  • Conduct IT Due Diligence for potential M&A initiatives, identifying key technology risks & opportunities 

  • Develop and execute IT project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets 

  • Develop and maintain metrics to track and report the effectiveness of the Project   

  • For the IT Vendors involved in the Integration Project: manage the vendor relationships in collaboration with other IT involved teams, ensuring timely delivery of services and products in compliance with contractual obligations. Support in the definition/ review of Statement of Work (produced by Vendor). 

  • Facilitate change management, training, and knowledge transfer to relevant stakeholders, empowering them to effectively leverage IT solutions in their daily work 

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings through the integration of IT systems and technologies 

  • Participate in relevant industry events and professional development opportunities to maintain expertise in legal and M&A technology best practices 

  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on technology initiatives and IT due diligence findings and integration projects 

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization's  M&A technology landscape 

  • Suggest the development and maintenance of IT-related policies, procedures, and documentation 

  • Continuously evaluate and improve IT processes and systems to maximize integrations’ efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the integrations follow standardized and repeatable approach (IT Integration Playbook) 

 

Key Relationships 

 

Internal Relationships: 

  • Global M&A team and Global Business Integration functions: collaborate with the two functions delivering seamless business partnership 

  • Global IT (Functional IT Teams, Technology Platforms Teams, Technology & Security Team, Global Service Delivery Team): understand requirements and constraints coming from Business Functions or other IT teams, align on activities with the different impacted teams, collaborate with other Business Partners to manage esacalations & requests during Project execution phases & address risks and issues 

  • Regional and Local IT Teams: ensure engagement and alignment  

  • Project Teams: Collaborate with all Project team members ensuring IT expertise and guidance. 

 

External Relationships: 

  • IT Vendors and Service Providers: manage relationships with external IT Vendors and Service Providers ensuring timely delivery of Projects Roadmap and dependencies in compliance with contractual obligations 

 

Experience & Education 

 

Experience: 

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with a focus in M&A and IT Integration 

  • Experience in conducting IT Due Diligence for M&A transactions, including the identification and assessment of technology risks and opportunities 

  • Experience in managing SAP implementation as PM (preferably related to M&A and Integrations) 

  • Experience in managing S4 on Public Cloud Project implementation is a plus 

  • Experience CPG Industry Knowledge is highly desirable 

  • International experience: experience working in an International or Multicultural environment is a plus 

 

Education: 

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required 

  • A master's degree in a relevant field or an MBA would be an advantage 

  • Relevant professional certifications, such as PMP, ITIL, or CISA, are highly desirable 

 

Required Skills & Traits  

  • IT Project Management skills (Timeline/ Budget/ Resource Allocation) on complex IT Projects  

  • Strong knowledge of PM Standards and Methodologies  

  • Proven proficiency in Project Management Software and Office suite (e.g., Excel & PowerPoint)  

  • Strong knowledge of Financial/ Budget Management   

  • Knowledge of IT Procurement and Vendor Management Processes  

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain and Finance Processes (preferred within CPG industry)  

  • Leadership skills, ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders 

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills 

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills  

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously  

  • Strong organizational and time management skills 

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment 

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 

 

Additional Requirements 

  • Availability to travel up to 25% of time
