General Description of the Role and related Objectives

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and learn from senior experts within the Cybersecurity Department of a global enterprise. You will be immersed in a dynamic, multi-vendor IT environment, contributing to real-world cybersecurity operations while developing essential skills for your future career. Beyond cybersecurity, you will immerse yourself in the world of a global, multicultural company, experiencing its diverse operations and innovative approach to business.

 

What You’ll Do:
As a Global IT Cyber Security Intern, you will:

  • Support the Vulnerability Management Program by assisting in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing security vulnerabilities across the company’s IT infrastructure.
  • Learn to utilize key security tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) to monitor and analyze security events.
  • Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to observe and assist in incident handling and response.
  • Participate in Cyber Threat Intelligence activities, gathering and analyzing threat data to enhance the organization’s security posture.
  • Contribute to incident response playbooks and automation processes under the guidance of experienced cybersecurity professionals.

  • Are curious and eager to learn, with a strong interest in cybersecurity tools and processes.
  • Possess a problem-solving mindset and enjoy tackling complex challenges.
  • Have basic knowledge or a strong willingness to learn about vulnerability management, SIEM, EDR, and cyber threat intelligence.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable working with various internal departments.
  • Reside in the Greater Metropolitan Area of Milan, as this role require also on-site activities.
