General Description of the Role

 

In this role you will be responsible for managing and driving the overall performance of the Italian Procurement and Logistics functions, supporting the EMEA Procurement & Logistics FP&A Manager in all planning, reporting and analysis activities. The role will closely work with the Regional Procurement and Italian Logistics team in ensuring that business performance objectives are met and aligned.

 

 

Mission/Objectives

 

  • Partner with Procurement and Logistics Italian Teams to submit data, guarantee a deep understanding of financials, analyze performance, risks and opportunities in the relevant areas.
  • Ensure internal communications, information and reporting of Procurement and Logistics financials to internal stakeholders.
  • Support the EMEA FP&A Procurement & Logistics Manager in all planning, reporting and analysis activities leading the Supply Chain FP&A community within the Italian perimeter.

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

  • Contribute timely to the definition of the relevant budget and revised budgets according to Group FP&A guidelines liaising with the Logistics and Procurement teams.
  • Ensure the reliability of Italian Procurement and Logistics figures, provide a deep understanding of business trends through variance analysis.
  • Being the SPOC and coordinator for Italy Innnovation initiatives.
  • Grant timely and accurate submission of Italian set of data to the Group FP&A Team.
  • Elaborate Supply Chain Italy reporting providing valuable analysis to facilitate Logistics and Procurement management decision making.
  • Act as key business partner and advisor to Italian Logistics and Procurement teams, with specific focus on coordinating the Logistics and Procurement teams through the cooperation within the FP&A community, evaluating and tracking the productivity actions plans.
  • Actively look for potential savings and opportunities to ensure delivery of targets.

 

Key Relationships

 

Internal: Italian Logistcs Team, Regional Logistics Director, Italian Procurement Team, Regional Procurement Director, Global SC FP&A teams, other Group FP&A team members, Statutory and Consolidation team

External: external consultants involved in NPR project and providers

 

Experience & Education & Skills

 

  • 3+ years of proven Financial Planning & Analysis experience within Finance & Controlling departments of multinational manufacturing companies in consumer goods industry with focus on supply chain operations. 
  • Experience in Supply Chain controlling activities is a plus.
  • Experience in working on challenging projects.
  • International working experience.
  • Must be familiar with cross-cultural issues and working in a matrix organization.
  • Degree in Economics / Business Administration.
  • Fluency of Italian and English is a must, knowledge of another language is a plus.

 

Required Skills & Traits:

 

  • Proficient in planning & reporting techniques.
  • Good economic and financial knowledge within a Supply Chain environment (i.e. OPEX, COGS, inventory management, CAPEX evaluation etc.).
  • Driven and able to balance multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with a range of non-finance stakeholders.
  • Confident, credible and capable of challenging and influencing where necessary.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Results and customer oriented.
  • Pragmatic, hands on approach, problem solver, proactive and flexible.
  • Able to effectively influence counterparts at all levels within a multi-cultural environment.
  • International mindset and cross-cultural working attitude.
  • Deep SAP/BW knowledge, BPC knowledge is a plus.
