General Description of the Role

In the Senior Finance Director role you have the opportunity to lead the finance function for a dynamic company with aggressive growth plan in South Korea, spearheading and executing our strategy and be a trusted Business Partner who plays key roles in planning and executing business strategies and commercial policies.

 

Specific respnsonsibility:

 

Business partner

  • Development of strong working relationship with Managing Manager and all local senior management team
  • Provide sound and independent financial advice to key business decisions
  • Support Managing Manager in ensuring Company strategies are accurately and timely communicated and business decisions are consistent to it
  • Active participation in management meetings and presentations

 

Financial planning and Analysis (FP&A)

  • Actively participate in the management of the business in order to anticipate the business needs and corresponding finance department solutions; examples but not limited to:
    • Daily / weekly sales tracking
    • Monthly analysis of business results
    • Leading, preparation and submission of monthly full year forecast, and annually Budget and any long term strategic planning
    • Continuous assessment of business KPIs through coordination and preparation of forecasts and updates
    • Ad-hoc financial analysis in support of the business teams
    • Investment analysis on advertising and promotion expenditures
    • Effectively plan and manage G&A budgets

 

Business reporting

  • Translate business knowledge into meaningful, accurate and timely management reporting for use by local team and APAC regional team
  • Satisfication of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements of the local business and the Regional / HQ is essential as is completion of local statutory / regulatory reporting
  • Interpret and advice on financial results, balance sheet position and other financial concepts and application

 

Accounting & Control

  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and reliability of all financial information, which will be analysed to support business decisions
  • Responsibilities will include the proper capturing and recording of all business transactions and reconcilistion of accounts
  • Ensure a continued clear understanding of local accounting and tax regulations
  • Ensure on-going compliance with control guidelines is essential
  • Educate and communicate to all company employees on the importance of internal controls and what part they play

 

ERP implementation

  • Lead future ERP implementation for the Company

 

The Ideal Candidate should possess the following:

  • A qualified accountant with a Degree in Accountancy/ Finance
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in accounting and finance gained from MNC; prior experience in alcoholic beverage / FMCG related industries is needed
  • Excellent analystical skills, strategic mindset with strong business acumen
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of inititative and independence and act as a professional business partner and leader with a hands-on approach
  • Experience in SAP
