General Description of the Role

 

The Channel & Customer Marketing, Associate Manager role will support the Regional Channel & Customer Marketing Manager with a focus on contributing to the development of Campari Group’s portfolio in the Global Travel Retail (GTR) channel by driving activation and visibility initiatives on all key brands defined for each market. The ideal candidate will have a passion for trade marketing and in-store travelers experience, demonstrated through experience in TTL activations.  The role will support the team in planning, executing, and analyzing all Channel & Customer Marketing – Trade Marketing activities within the Americas region. 

  • Travel Retail channel in scope: Airports, Downtown, Cruises, Lounges, Airlines, E-Com

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities & Activities

 

  • To support the Americas team by bringing ahead the best-in-class execution of all touchpoints, within the region and Travel Retail channel aligned with Brand Toolkits.
  • Managing key projects with the network agencies
  • Monitoring “Promo Plan for Americas Region”
  • Deployment of Brand induction/training for the frontline Staff & Promotional teams
  • Organization and deployment of Consumer and Trade events  
  • Conducting industry analysis through data collection on the category, competitors, and own-brand trends in GTR.
  • Budget tracking to support the team in budget tracking and analysis.

 

Objectives

  • Executing state of the art activations and visibility at off-trade and on-trade touch points
  • Plan, lead, execute the bar staff training calendar for the portfolio.
  • To win at the point of sale by ensuring superior consumer experience to boost brand building effectiveness.

 

Activation Excellence:

  • Handle overall execution of brand activation calendar and support CCM project planning
  • Customize & implement bespoke programs to help drive depletion across brands
  • Drive activations for specific channel segmentation
  • Support in the development and execution of Consumer & Shopper activations, including point of sale, gift packs (packaging & gifts), in-store displays, sales toolkits and sampling activations, consistent with Perfect Store guidelines
  • Customize visibility initiatives for outlets (wall bays, FSU, gondolas, etc.)
  • Plan and lead the staff training for the portfolio
  • Ensure that merchandise standards “The Perfect Store” are adhered to for best in class execution of all BTL activations
  • Ensure POSM, compliance within the Brand Guidelines, is available in sufficient quantities to achieve visibility objectives in all relevant outlets
  • Support in the development and execution of Consumer & Shopper activations, including point of sale, in-store displays, sales toolkits and sampling activations
  • Customize barware and visibility initiatives for outlets

 

Competencies

  • Project Management - The ability to put together required resource, cost, and timelines to execute the proposed activation plans. Understanding how best to engage and influence key stakeholders to ensure that executional standards are met and delivered on time in full.
  • Communication - Able to present information, ideas and proposals and communicate in an influential, confident, clear and open way with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Agency/External Partner Handling - The ability to establish relationships in the larger vendor ecosystem to build a pool to drive strategic activations and interventions nationally.

 

Key Relationships:

 

Internal: GTR AMERICAS COMMERCIAL, CCM & Marketing Team, Finance Team

External: Business partners/customers, agencies, retail teams.

 

Skills & Traits

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience working in trade/brand marketing
  • Master of trade marketing techniques and tools (managing BTL, agencies, and customer relations)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing expense budgets, procurement, and both Agency and Customer relationships
  • Multi-tasking approach and good organizational skills
  • International mindset and ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Innovative approach and creative thinking
  • Proactive and energizing behavior
  • Demonstrated ability to work within cross functional teams
  • Experience managing large cross functional commercial projects desirable
  • Experience in liquor/beverage industry preferable, not required
  • Ability to network and build strong relationships
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Microsoft Office proficient

 

Additional Requirements

  • Availability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time
  • 60% time in the office, 40% flexibility with travel to work locations
