General Description of the Role

Facilitate the daily operations of the global Courvoisier brand team and contribute to the development of powerful marketing strategies and tools to be shared with local markets, closely working with the Global Marketing Manager and the rest of the global team including the director, the managing director as well as other key functions (finance, supply chain, integrated marketing).


Mission/Objectives

As a member of the House of Champagne & Cognac, the Brand Manager Assistant contributes to the daily global brand operations for Courvoisier under the guidance of the Global Marketing Manager on fundamental aspects of the brand spanning from communication projects to budget management. 

The candidate will advance their knowledge in brand management and project management across global initiatives in a multinational and diversified context while developing cross functional skills in collaboration with trade marketing, commercial, supply chain, finance, legal as well as external agencies spread across different countries and time-zones.


Key Projects:

The following list provides an overview of the Brand Manager Assistant key activities: 

  • Project Management: coordination and monitoring of timelines for key projects using a GANTT approach under the supervision of the Marketing Manager
  • A&P Budget Tracking & PO Creation: contribute to budget-related activities by helping to track and manage marketing budgets. Assist in ensuring that expenditure aligns with the established budgets and take care of purchase orders (POs.)
  • Communication, Digital & Social Media: Co-operate with the digital team and external agencies to advance on key brand projects
  • Innovation & POSM: Support on key innovation projects to develop and launch new products/packaging with a particular attention to impactful POSM for in-store activation
  • Stakeholders Management: support in preparing internal and external presentations for key stakeholders with the supervision of the marketing manager as well as the director and MD in order to advance on key projects
  • Asset and Toolkit Development: support to create global assets and brand toolkits both within the on premise and off trade channels, including brand activation mechanic and straightforward executional and amplification guidelines
  • Competitive and Financial Analysis: Support the team in conducting internal competitive and financial analysis. Gather and analyze data to gain insights into market trends, competitors, and financial performance. Assist in the preparation of reports and recommendations based on the analysis. Monitor brand profitability trends.

  • Internal: House of Champagne & Cognac MD, Global Marketing Director, House of Champagne & Cognac team members, Global Consumer Insights Manager, Country Brand Managers, Global Brand PR Manager, Global Brand digital manager, Innovation Project Manager/Coordinator, SC team member, Global FP&A Marketing Brand Managers 
  • External: advertising agencies, business partners, PR agencies


Required Skills & Traits

•    Fluent in English, other languages a plus
•    Currently enrolled in a Master’s program, you are looking for your second gap-year internship or your end-of-studies internship. 

•    At least a prior internship experiences, in marketing functions preferably in a multinational context. 
•    Very detailed and well organized, able to follow a timeline and often tight deadlines
•    Proactive, collaborative and energizing approach
•    Good project management and execution capabilities
•    International mindset and ability to work in a multicultural environment
•    Passion for consumer insights and creative thinking
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
•    Numerical and analytical skills
•    Team worker
