General Description of the Role

 

The role of Sales Analyst will work in conjunction with the Sr. Sales Analyst and Director of Commercial Operations to drive the development and activation of effective tools and procedures to optimize organization and execution of core Sales management areas: planning, programming, development and tracking of goals, reconciliation, reporting & analysis, etc. Focus will be assisting with all Commercial Programming, including but not limited to National Distributor Programs & Internal Incentives, in conjunction with the Sales team, Distributor partners, as well as Cross Functionally. This role heavily relies on being ingrained with multiple touchpoints across the organization and external partners while being able to provide reporting, strong analysis, & knowledgeable ways of working solutions on demand. As the subject matter expert for the in’s & outs of our Commercial Programming this role is critical in providing the organization with insights & analysis to optimize the execution of our KPIs.

 

Mission/Objectives

 

Develops and executes comprehensive programming, analysis, & KPI management to enable the cross-functional & external needs of the Campari Commercial organization.

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

Commercial Programming

  • Owns all aspects of tracking & analyzing National Distributor Programs with multiple KPI sets
  • Proactively provides recommendations to optimize programing guidelines as well as return on investment analysis
  • Provides key insights into market & brand goals, results, and overall performance by highlighting risk & opportunities, trends affecting local markets, and brand updates relating to program & portfolio strategy
  • Develops executive level dashboards for achievement summarization
  • Assists with development & tracking of Regional Distributor programs
  • Liaises with Customer & Channel Marketing on Internal Incentive programs including KPI strategy & development, tracking, analysis, and calculating winning achievement

 

 

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

  • Acts as the Sales lead for Power BI reporting migration & standardization including executive level dashboards
  • Leads and/or contributes to the development of tools, systems & reports that enhance the efficiency of work processes and/or improved data insights leading to better business decisions
  • Proactively seeks to understand the needs of Field Commercial Sales in general and develop recommendations and improved tools, reports, solutions etc.
  • Drives the improvement of current reporting & processes through automation & efficiencies specific to Power BI Reporting & Commercial ways of working
  • Provides ad-hoc analysis of entire portfolio performance, KPI achievements, scorecards, etc. to Sales Leadership Team and key stakeholders

Consolidate and provide analysis for MBR & QBR submissions including performance analysis, commentary collection, NABCA reporting, etc.

  • Provide ad-hoc analysis of entire portfolio performance, national incentives, KPI achievements, scorecards, etc. to VP of Sales and key stakeholders

Field Marketing Support

  • Provides primary insights, analysis and reporting contact between Sales and Field Marketing including channel segmentation
  • Leads Brand analysis to help support Brand Marketing requests
  • Provides insights to Innovation through tracking & analysis of new item launches

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5-6 years of proven beverage alcohol experience at a supplier, distributor, or key outlet
  • Experience working with distributors & data services providers on a consistent basis

 

Education / Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Finance, or data driven field, MBA preferred
