About the Role

The Innovation Project Manager plays a critical role in driving the execution of new product development (NPD) and innovation projects within the Americas region. This position ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and alignment with strategic objectives. Acting as a key influencer, the role requires managing complex projects through cross-functional collaboration, while fostering trust and discipline among stakeholders

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Project Management & Execution
    • Lead innovation projects through the Campari Toll Gate governance process, from initiation to closure.
    • Develop integrated project plans, track progress, and ensure on-time delivery.
    • Manage project documentation for stage-gate approvals and pipeline reporting.
    • Conduct post-launch analysis and share lessons learned.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Influence and align cross-functional teams (Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance) to meet project objectives.
    • Build trust while maintaining discipline in project governance.
    • Drive strategic conversations to optimize cost, timelines, and gross margin targets.
  • Innovation Pipeline Support
    • Actively contribute to quarterly pipeline reviews, providing feasibility insights and scenario planning.
    • Support idea formation with high-level indications on complexity, timelines, and risk mitigation.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement
    • Ensure timely portfolio reporting and dashboard updates.
    • Train regional teams on innovation processes and contribute to process improvements.

 

Requirements

  • Experience
    • 3–4 years of project management experience, preferably in NPD or innovation projects.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
    • FMCG/CPG experience strongly preferred; beverage alcohol is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
    • PMI® certification is a plus.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
    • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., GANTT charts) and financial analysis (ROI, profitability).
    • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Other
    • Hybrid work model.
    • Ability to manage complexity and maintain credibility in a dynamic organizational environment.
