General Description of the Role

 

  • Support on the management of Product Related purchasing processes for US (raw and packaging materials), in line with Gruppo Campari procurement guidelines and the relevant category strategy.
  • Support North Cluster Packaging Category Manager activities 
  • Act as Category Manager for some low-mid spend assigned categories
  • Procurement representative for US Innovation Projects

 

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

In line with Gruppo Campari procurement guidelines and relevant category strategies, the role holder : 

 

  • Support on the management of Product Related purchasing processes for US:

 

- Lead suppliers onboarding process according to company procedure

            - Collaborate Purchase to Pay process and actively look for process improvement 

            - Collaborate in Material Planning process ensuring alignment with Procurement Strategy

            - Act as project/program manager for procurement CS initiatives 

            - Represent procurement for innovation initiatives

            - Ensure timely reporting of Procurement KPIs

            - Ensure availability of procurement related documention 

 

  • Support Cluster North Packaging Category Manager activities: 

 

- Category Cost break down, Cost modelling, Cost index tracking

- Analize total cost of Ownership. Develop  and execute category productivity plan to improve efficiency

- Prepare and Execute Request for proposal / Request for quotation

- Support risk assessment analysis and mitigation program development and execution

- Support Supplier Performance Management

 

  • Act as Category Manager for spend assigned categories ensuring:

 

- Category Cost break down, Cost modelling, Cost index tracking

- Analize total cost of Ownership. Develop  and execute category productivity plan to improve efficiency

- Prepare and Execute Request for proposal / Request for quotation

- Risk assessment analysis and mitigation program development and execution

- Supplier Performance Management

 

  • Support Innovation Projects:
  • Procurement representative on innovation projects providing sourcing alternatives in line with Procurement Strategies
  • Provide material costing
  • Support from a Procurement perspective on the innovation projects implementation 
  • Bring materials alternatives and suppliers to support innovation pipeline

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years procurement experience,

 

Education / Professional Qualifications

 

  • Engineering

  • Capabilities to present and analyze data and present in slides with local and global teams 
  • Experience in Ingredients purchase (Alcohol, Sugar, Wine, Flavours) and/or Packaging purchase (Closure, Labels, Corrugates) are a plus
  • Understanding of Economic dynimics in high volatile environment

The expected base salary for this position, based in New York City ranges from $90,000 - $115,000. The range will vary if outside of this location. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors and considerations. In addition to base salary and a generous employee benefits package, employees are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
