General Description of the Role
Campari is seeking a smart, self-motivated Legal Operations Coordinator who is willing to hit the ground running and learn more about a unique industry – the alcohol beverage world. While some of our challenges are the same as every other consumer products company, we work within a historically unique regulatory framework, the 21st Amendment. Specific alcohol experience is not necessary if you come with a desire and ability to learn quickly. The Legal Operations Coordinator is a valued support role in the legal department reporting to the Legal Operations Manager.
The Legal Operations Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the legal department by managing administrative tasks, optimizing workflows, and ensuring smooth operations. The role is located in Campari America’s Midtown Manhattan office and Campari follows a flexible hybrid work schedule with three (3) days in the office and two (2) days remote.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization. A successful candidate must also be a team player, proactive, able to prioritize effectively, and provide support for any general duties and projects. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple high-importance activities, driving results with a strong sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities and Activities

Support the use, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the legal technology tools, such as contract management system and legal portal

Monitor usage and resolve day to day needs and requests

Maintain and organize legal documents, contracts, and records, ensuring they are easily accessible and up to date.

Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining internal processes and policies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal department

Assist in managing legal projects, including tracking progress, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion

Help collect and organize data for key legal metrics

Assist with reporting on key performance indicators of the legal department

Help organize and facilitate training sessions for the legal team and other departments as needed
Education, Experience, and Skills

Bachelor’s degree required

Minimum 3-4 years of experience in administrative, paralegal, or operations-related, or project management role, preferably within a legal or corporate environment

Experience with legal technology implementations and/or maintenance is a plus

Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another language is a plus

Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively, cooperatively, and professionally with a variety of people

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Accuracy and keen attention to detail, but still comfortable with ambiguity

Ability to use sound judgment and pragmatic approaches to anticipate issues and/or resolve project roadblocks in an effective, efficient, compliant and common-sense manner

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 - $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors and considerations. In addition to a base salary and a generous employee benefits package, employees may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
