General Description of the Role
Campari is seeking a smart, self-motivated individual who is willing to hit the ground running and learn more about a unique and fun industry. The Legal Assistant is an entry-level position who will support the entire legal function with various administrative tasks and projects, but his or her primary responsibilities will be supporting legal operation initiatives, creating materials for trainings, research, and the review of basic contracts.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. We are looking for someone who is hard working, detail-oriented, well-organized, and learns quickly. This is an ideal role for someone who is interested in a few years of work experience in the legal field before applying to law school, or before pursuing a more specialized paralegal career path.
The role is located in Campari America's Midtown Manhattan office. Campari follows a flexible hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three (3) days in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data analysis and correction in the company's contract management system, ensuring accuracy and consistency across records.
- Review and validate AI-extracted contract data, including key terms, dates, and obligations to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Collaborate with legal operations team to improve data integrity and system performance.
- Assist in drafting and editing documents, correspondence, trainings, and internal memos.
- Format, enhance, and visually refine legal policies, trainings, guidelines, and PowerPoint presentations by applying consistent graphics, layouts, and visual design standards to produce clear, polished, and engaging materials for legal and business audiences.
- Provide support to the attorneys by reviewing and/or researching various matters, including simple contracts like NDAs.
- Support projects as needed and maintain updated documentation in legal systems.

Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Canva and/or Adobe. Experience and skills in information and graphic design are a big plus.
- Accuracy and keen attention to detail.
- Strong research and writing skills coupled with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively, cooperatively, and professionally with a variety of people.
- High degree of ethics, integrity, as well as sensitivity regarding confidential information.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-changing and demanding environment.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another language is a plus.
Compensation
At the time of this posting, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $20–$25/hour. Overtime potential exists but is limited.
