The Insights & Analytics Associate Manager will work with the Insights & Analytics Senior Manager to develop strategic recommendations and facilitate data-driven decision making across the commercial organization. This role will be the subject matter expert for market, category, and shopper insights within their assigned sales region. The individual will work closely with sales, commercial finance, and pricing/revenue management to bring insights to action through our Business Execution Excellence framework.

Mission / Objectives

  • Strategic advisor to regional sales, providing actionable insights and recommendations to influence commercial strategy, flawless sales execution and sustainable value growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Synthesize insights from multiple data sources (e.g., Nielsen/Circana, NABCA, Sales Nav, Compass, CGA, Numerator, VIP, Technomic, Datassential, IWSR) to inform regional sales strategy and understand latest market-level performance.
  • Stay current on national trends (shopper, cultural, category and retailer). Identify regional nuances with local implications and influence on the national perspective.
  • Uncover market-level commercial execution gaps/white space growth opportunities and recommend actions / initiatives to regional sales leadership.
  • Work cross-functionally with Pricing/Revenue Growth & Commercial Finance to analyze business performance drivers and its financial impact.
  • Participate in monthly Business Execution Excellence reviews to assess latest performance on implemented initiatives & align on new initiatives to pursue.
  • Build locally relevant selling materials that enable regional sales teams to effectively sell in new distribution & programming initiatives.
  • Contribute to business critical reporting and research projects led by the Insights & Analytics team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in sales analytics, insights, or a related function (CPG or beverage industry experience a plus).
  • Experience with syndicated data sources (e.g., Nielsen, Numerator, Technomic, Datassential, IWSR, etc.) and internal sales systems.
  • Experience collaborating with distributors and retail partners is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with CPG/beverage alcohol data sources: retail scan (Nielsen/Circana), shopper panel (Numerator), depletions (NABCA/VIP), and market data (IWSR, Adams Handbook).

Other Essential Job Functions

  • Extended periods of time using a computer and analyzing online data.
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and identify relevant insights.
  • Regular communication with internal and external stakeholders across time zones via video, phone, MS Teams and email.
  • Travel required: 20–25% of time.

The annual base salary range for this role in New York, NY is USD 79,400.00 – USD 105,900.00.
