General Description of the Role
The Supply & Sourcing Logistics Specialist ensures the smooth execution of logistics processes—including inbound flows, warehouse services, copacking, and customs compliance—while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cost efficiency and service levels. This role bridges operational excellence with strategic sourcing, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize supplier performance and logistics KPIs.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
- Inbound and Inventory Management: Oversee general inbound processes and inventory control.
- SAP Inventory Processing: Manage inventory transactions in SAP, including regular stock reconciliations.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of operational performance.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on customer needs.
- KPI Reporting: Enhance and maintain logistics key performance indicator (KPI) reports.
- Copacking Coordination: Manage and coordinate copacking activities.
- Claims Settlement: Handle claims resolution (e.g., in accordance with ADSp).
- External Provider Management: Collaborate with and oversee external logistics service providers.
- Contract Negotiation Support: Prepare for negotiations with contract logistics service providers.
- Customs Compliance: Act as point of contact for customs authorities; manage customs documentation (including excise tax) and support monthly financial processes.
Your profile:
- Successfully completed studies with a focus on logistics or completed commercial education with additional training (e.g., Fachwirt Güterverkehr und Logistik or Logistiksysteme).
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Hands-on experience with SAP.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Independence and reliability as well as a high degree of customer orientation
