The FP&A Specialist (m/f/d) reports to the FP&A Manager and supports the Marketing function in partnership with the departments Consumer Marketing, Channel & Customer Marketing and Sales. Moreover, the position will provide recommendations / analytics and integrate data as needed to support short-to-long term decision-making. Additionally, the FP&A Specialist will drive key initiatives as well as support the budgeting and forecasting processes.

 

The position FP&A Speciliast is a maternity cover for min. 2 years. 

 

 

Mission/Objectives

 

  • Support FP&A Manager in preparation of Company’s budgets, analysis of actuals vs. budget, and managerial reporting to support business decisions
  • Work cross-functionally to improve management planning and reporting and in close collaboration with Brand Managers and Marketing Directors for steering of Advertising and Promotions Budget

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

  • Monthly analysis of Advertising and Promotions expenses and its variances of actuals vs. budget
  • Preparation of various monthly management reports, reporting of Advertising and Promotions spending and preparation of Brand P&Ls, including comments and proposals for decision-taking
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual budgets and forecasts, as well as 3Y strategic plan
  • Support in monthly and yearly closing activities as well as internal audits
  • Maintenance of master data
  • Continuous Proposals on improvements into planning and reporting processes including reporting formats, managerial accounting
  • Ad-hoc reports and analysis on stakeholder requests

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Business, or similar education
  • Min. 2 years of experience in a FP&A/Controlling role gained preferably in a FMCG company or as an auditor in one of the international public practice companies (preferably Big 4)
  • Fluent German and English is a must, any other foreign language is a plus
  • Technical skills MS office (Excel, PPT) is required, BI and SAP S/4 HANA (PSP/WBS functionality) knowledge is a plus
  • Able to identify problems and suggest implementation of solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability
