ROLE OVERVIEW

 

The Commercial FP&A Specialist will support the Commercial function in partnership with Sales and CCM organisations, to identify profitable revenue growth drivers through the proactive identification of profit/growth opportunities across Channel, Customers and Brand combinations.

The position will work cross-functionally to support the continuous development of processes and procedures, tools and ways of working of the Commercial Finance function for Campari Deutschland GmbH.

The function also provides recommendations, analytics and integrates data as needed to support for short-to-long term decision-making, drive key initiatives as well as supports the budgeting and forecasting processes.

 

              

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

 

  • Support the development of Trade Term & Promo Investment strategy for Commercial and CCM teams to deliver value and profitable growth across Channels / Customers / Brands combinations
  • Support Commercial and CCM functions during the budgeting and forecasting process to build Trade Term & Promo Investments budget proposals/inputs, ensuring the outcomes are consistent with overall financial goals of the company
  • Support consistency across our Value Chains by Channels, Customers and Brands to lead, deliver and leverage analytics to unlock strategic value of each of our brands through optimising mix, assortment, packs and promotional strategy and execution. Identifying risks and opportunities for target achievement
  • Provide analytical support pre-/post-mortem to determine feasibility, financial return on investment, estimated spend and forecasted targets (target KPI’s) for Commercial programs
  • Analyse and monitor sell-in/sell-out and depletions trends, competitive pricing and external size mix trends to identify risks and opportunities and proactively provide recommendations to management to improve mix and profitability across Channels, Customers and Brands
  • Support the planning and implementation of price negotiations from Commercial Finance function perspective by providing value adding financial case scenarios

 

 

Reporting

  • Run monthly Top Line closing process (Turnover, Excise Tax, Net Sales) providing commentary on the performance versus budget and business KPI’s
  • Support TPM 2.0 agenda (Trade Promotion Management Tool), track issues/needs for system improvement and act as a local expert (super user) of the tool to continuously educate Commercial and CCM Teams via sharing best practices of the TPM tool

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

 

  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business or Marketing
  • Min. 4-5 years as Business Analyst, Sales Analyst, Insights Specialist or Marketing Analyst
  • Experience in pricing analytics, trade spend, finance or business planning is a must
  • Strong analytical mindset with advanced commercial acumen Strong technical skills in BI, MS office (Excel, PPT), IRI or ACA Nielsen is required
  • Experience with legacy systems to manage commercial finance streams is a plus
  • Experience in FP&A is a plus
  • Fluent German and English is a must, any other foreign language is a plus
