General Description of the Role
The position is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic evolution of Campari Academy by generating added value to Campari Mexico business with an omnichannel perspective (On Trade, Off Trade, E-commerce, Wholesaler)
Responsible for leading a team of Brand Ambassadors to engage and educate Bartenders, Customers, Passionate Consumer and Camparistas to become genuine Advocates for our brands and company.
Mission/Objectives
- Developing, implement and monitor a Strategic plan for the Campari Academy Mexico
- Full responsibility for allocating, managing and monitoring the assigned A&P CCM budget, for the definition and development of the Academy annual plan
- Educational programs & trade Events that will be most effective in reaching key Stakeholders (bartenders, trade professional, customers, mixology passionaries and Camparistas)
- Create training content, tools, and learning materials for the Campari Mexico Portfolio
- Supporting Marketing to develop drinking strategy, tasting sessions, PR events,
- Supporting Sales by providing educational, product storytelling, key selling points, (Omnichannel approach), and develop strategic partnerships
- Lead Bartender Advocacy program development (engagement, capability and reward)
- Develop and monitor Advocacy measure
- Develop a Digital Campari Academy Platform & Manage mixability content
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Strategy & Planning
- Work directly with the Houses of brands and customer marketing counterparts to develop the correct training presentations, Brand Ambassadors uniforms, bar materials and Giveaways by brand to ensure brand building at each channel.
- Plan, control and report the Brand Ambassadors & Campari Academy Budget & KPIs achievement.
- Manage the BA program monthly calendar of events & trainings for the year, as confirmed by the On Trade team to ensure strategic reach at the correct segments by brand and quality execution.
- Development of strategic programs and events targeting key bartenders to recruit them as fans of our brands.
- Establish tactics, strategies and platform that achieve brand advocacy.
- Planning & development of Mystery Shopper Programs to assure the Drink Strategy is well implemented by brand at the On Trade.
- Brief agencies in teamwork with brand teams as needed to ensure alignment on the Campari Academy program.
Event & Program Management
- Create a CRM strategy and maintain a Campari Academy database for Campari Mexico
- Develop, coordinate, and manage a structured weekly and monthly agenda for the Physical Campari Academy taking place in the office
- Work with CCM Channel Team to create an omnichannel educational strategy for all key stakeholders
- Supporting in Trade events, expos, annual programs, or staff incentives.
- Create and maintain a bartender database for Campari Mexico, including all bartenders who have worked with the portfolio, attended Campari Mexico events or have future opportunity to have relationships with the portfolio in order to invite them to participate in special / brand events.
- Ensure proper follow up is in place to continuously engage the bartenders in every city.
- Monthly visits to the BA cities to assure the correct execution and report to CCM Manager the KPIs.
Reporting, Budget & Metrics
- Establish and control the Campari Academy annual budget, leveraging cost efficiency opportunities.
- Monthly Brand Ambassador Teams report
- Develop tracking system to maintain control of training activities with clear KPI´s
- 28 Trainings, guest or events per BA every month.
- 4 daily visits to the On Trade account to review the Distribution & Drink Strategy is well executed.
- Track and monitor the results of projects (eg Campari Academy Digital, Social medias, Distributor training, Mistery shopper) ensuring the right delivery and implementation.
Key Relationships
Internal: Houses of brands, CCM Managers, On Trade Regional Managers & Brand Activators, Brand Ambassadors team.
External: Bartenders & Mixologists, BTL Agencies: Campari Academy & Special events, Marketing Research Insights at the On Trade.
Experience Required
- At least 7 years’ experience as a Mixologist, Sommelier, Communications or related field.
- Experience in spirit industry preferred.
Education / Professional Qualifications
- University degree as a Sommelier, administration, marketing or other relevant field
Skills
Functional
- Excellent public speaking skills, effective communication and budget management skills; problem-solving, leadership, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. Must have initiative and be able to work effectively under pressure independently and with a team.
- Development planning and execution of brand and/or events required.
- Must be knowledgeable of on trade trends and industry influencers.
- Must have relationships with existing bartender influencers and key on premise accounts.
- Ability to forge relationships with bartender community.
Technical
- Demonstrate the art and process of cocktail making
- Must be knowledgeable of spirits industry, global trends, events and activities.
Other
- Ability to travel 30% of the time
- Hands-on management of events to include ability to directly assist in event set-up
- Make verbal and written presentations using standard office applications and software
- Profifcient on MS Suite (Teams, Office, etc).
