General Description of the Role
The Head of eCommerce UK leads one of Campari UK's most dynamic and strategically important growth channels. Combining commercial leadership, customer strategy, business planning and cross-functional influence, the role is responsible for driving sustainable growth across a diverse portfolio of customers, platforms and routes to market.
Acting as a key connector across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Revenue Growth Management and Digital teams, the role ensures eCommerce is fully integrated into wider commercial priorities and business planning. You will shape channel strategy, influence investment decisions, identify growth opportunities and drive execution across both domestic and regional initiatives.
You will have direct P&L responsibility for Pureplay customers including Amazon, Ocado, Zapp and GoPuff, alongside strategic influence across Grocery.com, Quick Commerce Aggregators and eB2B channels. Leading a team of two, you will balance customer leadership with broader responsibility for capability building, channel development and organisational effectiveness.
Alongside accountability for commercial performance, you will play a critical part in shaping how Campari UK approaches digital commerce, omnichannel growth and future capability development. It combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, requiring the ability to translate complex data, market dynamics and business priorities into clear actions and measurable outcomes.
A key responsibility is leading the eCommerce operating rhythm for the business, including forecasting, performance reviews, governance forums, customer planning cycles and strategic projects. You will also supports the development of tools, processes and ways of working that improve visibility, decision-making and execution across the UK market.
The Head of eCommerce UK is a key representative within the European eCommerce Council, partnering with regional and global stakeholders to share best practice, develop scalable frameworks and support the evolution of digital commerce capabilities across the Group. You also work closely with House of Brands, Channel Strategy, Digital Transformation and Global IT teams to progress broader strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities and Activities
•Full P&L responsibility for domestic eCommerce Pureplay accounts.
•Lead, coach and develop a team of two direct reports.
• Develop and deliver the UK eCommerce strategy, ensuring alignment with wider commercial priorities, customer plans and brand objectives.
•Lead Annual Business Planning, Strategic Planning and Budgeting processes for the channel.
•Own key planning processes including forecasting, risk and opportunity management, consensus inputs and performance reviews.
•Deliver clear, actionable performance analysis across customers, brands, channels and initiatives, translating insights into recommendations and action plans.
•Partner with National Account Managers and customer teams to shape account strategies, identify growth opportunities and unlock commercial value.
•Coordinate governance forums, planning meetings, customer reviews and capability sessions to drive alignment and accountability.
•Lead digital commerce capability initiatives including content excellence, digital shelf optimisation, retailer readiness, SEO, PDP enhancement and product information management.
•Work cross-functionally with Brand, Customer Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Revenue Growth Management and Operations teams to improve business performance and execution.
•Support the development of retail media, activation and go-to-market plans by translating brand and commercial priorities into channel-specific growth plans.
•Manage relationships with external platforms, agencies and data partners to strengthen capability, insight generation and execution.
•Produce high-quality strategic recommendations, business cases, performance updates and executive-ready presentations.
•Drive continuous improvement across processes, reporting, tools and ways of working.
•Represent the UK market within European and Global eCommerce forums, contributing local insight and helping shape best practice.
•Support the wider Off Trade agenda across Grocery, Convenience and Cash & Carry channels.
Experience
•Strong commercial leadership experience across Sales, Customer Development, Category Management, Commercial Planning, Digital Commerce or Account Management within FMCG or a similarly fast-paced environment.
•Candidates may come from either specialist eCommerce backgrounds or broader commercial leadership roles but will demonstrate a track record of driving growth, influencing stakeholders and translating strategy into execution.
•Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and convert them into clear priorities, actions and measurable business outcomes.
•Experience leading forecasting, business planning, performance reviews or other commercially critical governance processes.
•Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret data, identify drivers and make sound recommendations.
•Proven people leadership and team development experience.
•Experience across digital commerce, retail media, content strategy, digital shelf or related capability areas is advantageous but not essential.
•Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders, customers, cross-functional teams and external partners.
•Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills.
•Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity, complexity and competing priorities.
•Collaborative, proactive and improvement-focused, with a strong ability to influence across matrix organisations.
