Role Overview 

 

Campari Group is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Unit Manager to lead our Grocery division in the UK. The Head of Grocery will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive growth, enhance brand presence, and maximize sales across grocery channels. 

 

The successful candidate will report into the Commercial Director. 

 

Job Summary: 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to achieve sales targets and market share growth within the grocery sector. 

  • Brand Management: Oversee brand activations and promotional activities to enhance visibility and consumer engagement. 

  • Sales Management: Lead and support the sales team to ensure effective execution of sales plans and achievement of KPIs. 

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape. 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, supply chain, and finance, as well as external partners to drive business objectives. 

  • Budget Management: Manage budgets effectively to optimize ROI on marketing and sales initiatives. 

 

 

Skills & Experience: 

 

  • Leadership: A strong leader who is hands-on and passionate about the product and their people. Building and maintaining high-performing teams. 

 

  • Product Development: Experience in creating and bringing products to market. 

 

  • Senior-Level Experience: Proven track record operating at a senior level dealing with UK retail, convenience, wholesale, and Out of Home channels. 

 

  • Cross-Functional Knowledge: Broad knowledge of Sales, Category Management, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain. 

 

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze business opportunities and leverage knowledge of customer’s business, goals, and culture to provide WIN: WIN solutions. 

 

  • Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of FMCG at a regional level. 

 

  • Commercial Strategy: Experience in developing and executing commercial strategies.

Qualifications: 

 

  • Proven experience in a senior sales or marketing role within the FMCG or beverage industry. 

  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 

  • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical abilities. 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
