Company: Campari AmericaJob Title: Packaging InternJob Location: Lawrenceburg, KYReports to: CI EngineerOrganizational Layer (global, regional or local): LocalGeneral Description of the RoleWork with the CI Engineer and Operations team on improving the productivity of packaging lines, implementing engineering solutions, and standardizing machine/personnel documentation.Mission/ObjectivesThe Engineering Intern will support operations and continuous improvement in the packaging department. They will be involved in day to day troubleshooting of issues on the packaging lines and interacting with the operators. They will also work on longer term production improvement and engineering projects. They will need to be able to work as a part of a cross functional team of maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety.Key Responsibilities and ActivitiesAttend daily GEMBA walks to ascertain, and develop solutions for, problems on the production lines.Utilize excel to input and analyze production dataProvide assistance in writing Standard Operating procedures, Job Manuals and other related documents. Management of a go-pro camera to focus on recurring issues on the machines. Analysis of go-pro footage to develop corrective actionsReview operators tasks and implement changes to improve productivity and/or safety.Work with vendors to develop, quote, and procure engineering solutionsOther tasks as assigned by management.Key RelationshipsInternal:Campari America employeesExperience (Seeking)Experience supporting manufacturing sites.Experience with lean manufacturing techniquesExperience working with hourly employees to improve manufacturing environmentEducation / Professional QualificationsPursuing a Bachelor Degree in EngineeringSkillsFunctionalUnder supervision, proactively follows up on outstanding issues.Strong analytical, prioritizing, and creative problem-solving skills.Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environmentExcellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, superb listening and follow-up abilities.TechnicalProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
