Position Summary

We’re looking for a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead the performance and reliability of our distillery, aging warehouses, and bottling operations. This role plays a key part in keeping our facilities running safely, efficiently, and without interruption.

You’ll oversee maintenance across critical systems and infrastructure, lead a skilled team, and partner closely with production and engineering to minimize downtime and support operational goals. Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance

  • Lead and manage carpenters and maintenance general utility resources, assigning tasks and monitoring performance

  • Provide coaching, training, and development to ensure technical competency and adherence to safety protocols

2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

  • Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific preventative maintenance (PM) plans and routines for all facilities-related equipment, grounds, and fleet

  • Respond quickly to emergency repairs and unplanned equipment failures, troubleshooting and determining efficient solutions to minimize production disruptions

  • Oversee the maintenance of all facilities-related equipment and building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and fire & security systems

3. Equipment & Infrastructure Management

  • Maintain distillery, warehouse, and bottling utilities (steam boilers, chillers, water treatment systems, compressed air systems, dock doors & related equipment)

  • Oversee warehouse environmental controls (temperature/humidity systems) to protect aging barrels, and maintain elevators and hoist-related equipment

4. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, TTB, and local regulations

  • Maintain documentation for audits and inspections

  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement LOTO per company safety policies

5. Budget & Inventory Control

  • Assist in managing maintenance budgets and controlling costs

  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and facility supplies as necessary

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support operational needs

  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects

  • Ensure vendors follow company safety standards and provide required documentation to conduct work

7. Documentation and Reporting

  • Create and maintain accurate maintenance activity records, downtime records, inspection records, and inventory records, often using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), particularly Megamation & SAP

  • Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to facility maintenance and reliability to management


Qualifications

  • Education: Associate Degree or Technical Certification, Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience: 5+ years in facilities maintenance, preferably in food & beverage or distillery environment; 2+ years in a supervisory role. Must have worked or received education in this field of work within the past 3 years

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

    • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics

    • Proficient in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

    • Excellent leadership and communication skills


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and work in varying environments (hot, cold, humid)

  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when necessary
