General Description of the Role

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Capital Projects Analyst to support the execution and financial oversight of capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects. This role will be instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across all project phases. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for driving results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Mission/Objectives

 

The Capital Projects Analyst is responsible for supporting engineering operations with tracking of projects purchase orders, good receipts, project spend status, monthly and quarterly reporting of project spend status, asset tags and project filing governance.

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

  • Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and Goods Receipts (GRs) upon verification of work completion.
  • Track and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with approved CAPEX plans.
  • Review monthly cash flow schedules and collaborate with Finance and project Contractor to identify deviations or forecasted concerns.
  • Maintain and manage Tax Exemption Certification documentation for project-related purchases.
  • Oversee the project change order decision process, ensuring timely stakeholder responses, proper documentation, and workflow approvals.
  • Ensure all CAPEX activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and auditable records of all CAPEX transactions.
  • Facilitate and document meeting minutes for core project team meetings, including follow-up communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project success.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

1.    Education

o    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred).

 

2.    Experience

o    A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial related analysis, preferably with a focus on CAPEX or Project Management.

o    Experience with SAP and/or similar operating systems.

o    Experience in the spirits industry is a plus.

 

3.    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

o    Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred).

o    High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).

o    Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.

o    Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence at all organizational levels.

o    Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
