Objective of the Role

 

Develop Export brand portfolio in line with business objectives impacting on key metrics (i.e. awareness, equity items, sales) while ensuring spending is coherent with budget and directed to best return on investment

 

General Description of the Role

 

  • The Marketing Manager Export is responsible for the strategy development and coordination of the plan and activities for the whole portfolio of brands distributed in export markets
  • He/She will work in coordination and with the support of Export team and Local Distributor to achieve brand objectives defined in the plan (volume, share, CAAP and consumer KPIs) with ownership for the evolution of the brand.
  • On top of coordinating the whole portfolio, he/she will actively manage key strategic brands in Export (i.e. Aperol, Campari)

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

  • Build a strong partnership with Export team in order to act like one single entity
  • Build solid relations with distributors based on trust, competence, expertise and Campari Group values
  • Define brand and portfolio strategy for Export markets and align that with Export team and Local Distributors
  • Lead the development and execution of the Annual Brand Plan (managing timelines, budgets) in conjunction with Export team and Local Distributors
  • Responsible for market share and brand equity measures for the brand managed across markets
  • Using grounded consumer insight and available database (IWSR) to plan, direct and manage marketing efforts, to achieve maximum return on investment
  • Manage the execution of all elements of the Consumer marketing mix
  • Ensure alignment with the GSM team on global brand guidelines and with other functions on projects’ implementation (Communication, Customer & Channel Marketing, Sales, PAD, Legal, Finance, Supply chain)
  • Align the organization all key activities
  • Contributes to develop of the annual budget related to A&P, facilitates the approval process providing any info and data required, manage the budget along the year in line with internal procedure for expenses approval and track actual vs. budget and proactively act to off- set any positive variances in spending, working closely with the rest of the organization 
  • Ensure the integrity of the brand at all times
  • Develop agency briefs for all elements of the marketing mix and day to day agency management
  • NPD management of gate process
  • Administrative support and post analysis of campaigns including recommended improvements for future activity
  • Execution of packaging artwork (post design through to production across all pack formats)
  • Monitor ongoing brand health

 

 

Reporting relationship

 

  • Reports to Marketing Director
  • 1 BM reporting into the role
  • Works in coordination with Export team and Local distributors
  • For the brand of responsibility, works in alignment with BM Jamaica

 

Education / Experience / Skills

 

  • Degree qualified in Marketing or equivalent
  • Experience as a Marketing Manager
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • FMCG or Liquor Industry experience
  • Experience with a large value brand or a multiple brand portfolio
  • Demonstrated alignment to Company values and behaviours
  • Proven expertise in brands and A&P management
  • Ability to conduct effective and impactful market and brand analysis

Working Conditions

 

  • General office environment; job however requires involvement in off-site promotional activities and events to ensure proper management
  • Due to travel to visit local distributors: 60% out of office and 40% at office
