General Description of the Role
• The Brand Activator is responsible for the Brand Experience coherent and successful execution for both Jamaica and Export Markets
• He/She is responsible for planning, organizing and directing consumer marketing activities while providing supervision to the BTL Agency ensuring all executions are done to brand standards and in line with each brand strategy.
• He/She works in coordination with MMs and BMs in the definition of the brand plan and contributes to the development of brands’ strategy in terms of experiences (Core platforms, big, medium and small events, One Love project)

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities
• Identify, plan, execute and follow up brand experiences in markets.
• Define brand and portfolio Experience executions for Jamaica and Export markets and align that with MMs and BMs
• Ensure Experience A&P budget use across time ensuring control, smart use of the investment looking for best return and identifying priorities and opportunities making recommendation accordingly.
• Define KPIs for each experience in line with type of event and brand objectives.
• Conduct site visits with agencies and event promoters to create and finalize execution plans for events.
• Build and keep updated experience execution calendar to be shared across the organization.
• Own the process of creating requisition for MO’s /PR/ Point of Sale Materials (POSM) needed for all executions.
• Drives the completion of the event checklist ensuring both internal and external stakeholders are in compliance with mandatories.
• In collaboration with the BTL execution agency, lead the process of organizing postmortems/ debriefing of major brand activities and owned events.
• Provide feedback from events according to KPIs defined.
• Hold regular budget meetings to track expenses and propose adjustments.
• Ensure alignment with other functions (Communication, Customer &Channel Marketing, Sales, PAD, Legal, Finance, Supply chain)
• Ensure the integrity of the brand at all times.
▪Lead agency and promoters management within its perimeter leading the contract creation process for sponsorships, ensuring all agreed terms are captured and approved by the Legal department.
▪Supports the generation of insights and recommendations regarding the design of POS & branding items based on execution needs.
▪Supervise the BTL execution agency & vendors to ensure the final output is aligned with the approved plans.
▪In collaboration with the BTL execution agency, ensure the branding kits for events are dispatched in proper working condition. Liaise with POS Specialist, Brand Managers and the BTL execution agency to have worn and damaged equipment refurbished.
▪Drive excellence through effective supervision of the BTL Client Relations Coordinators assigned to Brand Projects; doing quarterly performance appraisals and coaching to improve Consumer Events standards.
▪Continuously seek opportunities to improve the brands experience within the event industry. Reporting relationship Reports to Brand Experience Manager Education / Experience
• Degree qualified in Marketing or equivalent.
• Experience as event manager
• FMCG or Liquor Industry experience
• Demonstrated alignment to Company values and behaviours. Skills / Competencies

• General office environment: job, however, requires involvement in off-site promotional activities and events to ensure proper management.
• 60% out of office and 40% at office
• Requires physical effort to travel to required promotional locations and involves working long and at times unusual hours based on the nature of the job.
