FWG Warehouse Team Lead

About the Role

As the FWG Warehouse Team Lead, you will take ownership of daily warehouse operations, ensuring that inventory control, safety standards, and productivity levels meet or exceed company expectations. Your leadership will inspire teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance service quality. This position reports to senior supply chain management and collaborates closely with logistics, procurement, and quality control units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a diverse warehouse team by setting clear performance objectives, providing ongoing coaching, and fostering an inclusive work culture that values diversity and teamwork.
  • Manage full cycle warehouse operations including reception, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods to guarantee accurate and timely order fulfillment while minimising errors and delays.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to health and safety regulations by conducting regular audits, training staff on safe practices, and implementing corrective actions proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise inventory management, improve stock accuracy, and enhance warehouse process efficiency utilising data-driven insights.
  • Track, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, inventory turnover, and labour productivity, to identify trends and implement actionable improvement plans.
  • Oversee resource planning, including shift scheduling and labour allocation, to maintain operational flexibility and responsiveness during peak demand periods.
  • Support and coordinate training and development programs aimed at upskilling team members to keep pace with evolving technologies and operational standards.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives aligned with company goals and industry best practices, fostering innovation and operational excellence.
  • Maintain strict compliance with company policies, applicable industry regulations, and quality assurance standards to uphold the company’s reputation and customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or team leadership roles within the supply chain sector, demonstrating ability to lead teams and manage complex operations effectively.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operational workflows, inventory management principles, and modern logistics practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal communication skills, with the capability to motivate, engage, and synthesize efforts of team members from diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities, enabling swift resolution of operational challenges.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety best practices, with a track record of maintaining high standards in workplace safety and compliance.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing shifting priorities with poise and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and technology platforms, with openness to adopting new tools that enhance operational effectiveness.
