Job Title: Global Strategy Travel Retail Regional Manager LATAM

 

Position Context

Campari’s Global Strategy Travel Retail (“GSTR”) is the avenue through which the group showcases its key international brands and strengthening international development. The Global Travel Retail team partners key GTR channel customers worldwide (serving airports, cruises, airlines, military, diplomatic and border shops) with the aim to maximize core Gruppo Campari brands’ visibility and awareness and strengthen their international development.   

Reporting to Global Travel Retail Americas Director, The GSTR Regional Manager LATAM is responsible to contribute for the successful commercial development of Gruppo Campari brands in the GSTR channel within the assigned geographical area of responsibility, through effective partnership with key customers.

The mission of the role is the contribution of the implementation of a mid to long term commercial strategy, integrated with marketing plans, contribute to deliver business results in the channel and to accelerate the share of GSTR business designated by GSTR Americas Director,

 

Key Activities & Responsibilities

 

  • Contributes and advises the GSTR Director on the assigned channel to deliver commercial and brand building objectives on perimeter, ensure regional coordination of commercial planning activities and adherence to brand positioning and strategy to deliver optimal business results.
  • Collaborates and advises the GSTR Americas director to set the annual 5-Year Strategic Business Plan for its area of responsibility; build and manage the yearly budget on areas of responsibility.
  • Work with the GSTR CCM Manager to help define and execute a winning brand portfolio strategy to focus investments on strategic Key Customer/Brand Combinations within the area of responsibility. Contribute to Drive strategy communication for the channel. Works with the GSTR Global marketing team to adapt global marketing strategies and calendar to meet channel needs. Contributes to Identify the right portfolio for the channel, with possibility of launching Travel -exclusive launches, travel sets and gifts, Loop in channel insights and competitive feedback and participates in all industry-related events.
  • Collaborate with peers, Finance Manager Partnership Markets, Demand Manager Partnership Markets and USA, Group Legal Counsel, and Product Supply Chain Management within Campari on all pan-regional activities.
  • Collaborates on selected key global accounts, coordinating account planning activities on a regional level, Generating relationship with Management teams at key global customers. Establish network, build relationships and partnerships with key regional Travel retail operators to support expansion plans.  Contribute to Drive joint business plans with key stakeholders of every key travel retail operator and align on short, mid, long term development plans and contribute and advise GSTR regional Director on listings, pricing, and marketing initiatives within the Travel channel: airports, in-flight duty free, downtown and border shops, cruise lines & ferries.
  • Collaborates on forecasting process to ensure accurate financial planning and ensure effective and timely shipments as well as adherence to all internal business processes, Business decision for key management reporting & business planning cycles. Contributes on Decision making on allocations and subsequent interaction with Customer Marketing, Marketing
  • Advises GSTR regional Manager on RTM/Supply chain decisions in its area of responsibility, working cross-functionally to ensure feasibility and execution of new initiatives/proposed improvements.
  • Promotes collaborative working relationships and effective communication with local domestic Campari Business units in LATAM. Contributing on the alignment with the different Domestic Units teams on ways of working on Marketing and commercial initiative and working cross-functionally throughout the organization and geographies to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
  • Contributes to ensure that best in class customer service is provided to our customers.

Internal:  GSTR Regional Managers, GTR Marketing team, BU Commercial and marketing teams, Sales Support Specialist, Finance Manager Partnership Markets, Demand Manager Partnership Markets, Legal Counsel, Product Supply Chain Management.

 

External: Senior management team members within the Account structure.

 

Experience & Education

 

  • Minimum 10 years of proven commercial experience with demonstrated career progression within FMCG.
  • Relevant experience in the GTR channel is strongly preferred, experience in Spirits is a plus.
  • Experience in managing key customers/third parties’ distributors.
  • Prior experiences in CCM are a plus.
  • Relevant international experience
  • University level education
