General Description of the Role
As the Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will contribute to monitoring business results and support sales and leadership team with decision making. As the primary finance support for the NZ sales team, this role will provide commercial insight into brand and customer profitability, contribute to pricing strategy, and support the sales team to manage and optimize trade spend.
This role will engage the sales leadership team to develop tools and provide reporting frameworks to establish the best practice for trade spend optimisation and governance. This role will provide insight the sales team to help grow market share in the most cost-effective way.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Business Partnering

Support Head of Sales with monthly sales forecasting and trade spend management. Work with sales to ensure trade spend is captured accurately by customer and brand. Provide sales team with actual vs planned spend tracking.

Facilitate customer profitability reviews to help drive customer term negotiations and promotion effectiveness. Develop channel price, volume and mix variance analysis deep dive tools.

Maintain the customer hierarchy to facilitate the development of targets by region and reports to track performance.

Partner sales team with the annual price increase process, to ensure decisions deliver the best result for consumer, customer and Campari. Ensure price changes and annual excise change is implemented seamlessly into invoicing.

Creation of regular reports for key stakeholders for use in the monitoring of business results and decision-making support

Work with key stakeholders on the analysis and application of budget and forecast numbers.

Work closely with the country lead on the development and management of the structure costs budget/forecast.
Monthly Sales Planning Process:

Creation and maintenance of templates/models for budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes for customer volume, gross sales and trade spend,

Detailed analysis of monthly performance vs plan and prior year, highlighting where brand performance within key customers is ahead/behind target.

Creation of presentation decks for key budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
Invoice Price Maintenance

Maintain invoice pricing for all products to external customers and intercompany transfer prices

Maintain excise price file and ensure excise tax is being captured in inventory and invoicing

Support the sales team with increasing conditionality in trading terms
NPD Commercialization

Work with key functions of Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to assess the viability of new products and ensure they meet target margin requirements

Work with Supply Chain to understand product costing.

Work with the sales team and provide financial insight on P&L impact of pricing, promotions, and new customer negotiations.
Projects and Other
-
Support the Head of FP&A with monthly planning and reporting processes

Assist in the business case preparation for any ongoing projects.

Support the team with any ad-hoc requirements.
Key Relationships
Internal: Commercial Sales; Brand Marketing, All Support functions
Experience Required & Skills
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience, ideally working closely with Sales in a commercial capacity

Degree in Commerce/Accounting
-
Previous experience within Liquor industry or other FMCG organizations is preferred

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
-
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills

Power BI experience preferred

Good working knowledge of SAP/BI
-
High attention to detail
-
Sound analysis and reporting skills
