General Description of the Role

 

As the Brand Manager you will drive brand ownership and execution of the Annual Brand Plan achieving brand objectives (volume, share, CAAP and consumer KPIs including brand purchase funnel).

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

Execution

  • Develop and execute the Annual Brand Plan (managing timelines, budgets and alignment)

  • Deliver sales volume, net sales value, market share and profit projections for the brand trademark 

  • Work closely with Brand Owners on brand reporting, understanding global brand prioritise and executing locally aligned with global brand plan and guidelines

  • Using grounded consumer insight to plan, direct and manage marketing efforts, to achieve maximum return on investment

  • Ensure the integrity of the brand at all times

  • Develop agency briefs for all elements of the marketing mix and day to day agency management including Media, Digital, in outlet execution and incentives 

  • New Product Development management of gate process for Campari and the Brand Owner

  • Manage the execution of all elements of the marketing mix 

  • Administrative support and post analysis of campaigns including recommended improvements for future activity

  • Understanding of packaging artwork 

  • Align Channel, Key Account and Field sales teams on all key activities

  • Ensure all A&P is tracked, allocated, processed with the Finance process and reporting and oncharged where applicable Insights

  • Conduct regular trade visits to ensure execution on shelf, planograms, pricing and visibility of brand

  • Become a brand expert – brand, consumer, category and competitor performance analysis and recommendations

  • Monitor ongoing brand health

 

Key Relationships

 

Internal:; Brand Marketing team, CCM team, Category and Key Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers, logistics and customer services team

External:  Brand Owners and partners, agencies and industry bodies including LAPPS, customers, event owners 

 

Experience Required

 

  • 3-5+ years marketing experience in a Brand Management role

  • Liquor industry, FMCG or agency side experience preferred - Understanding of differing channels and execution understanding

  • Degree qualified in Business or Commerce, or equivalent is preferred

 

Skills  

 

Analytical skills - The ability to translate industry, channel, customer, category and brand information into actionable insights for both the Marketing and Sales cross functions.

Commercial Acumen - demonstrating the ability to manage an expense budget necessary, providing regular updates and forecasts, as well as finding ways to reduce the "cost of doing business".

Superior communication skills - The ability to create compelling internal and external presentations (written and verbal) to drive field team and customer compliance to Campari's executional standards.  

Office Applications - Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint essential.

Project Support- Ability to support the coordination of complex projects.
