We are looking for a liquor industry expert for the role as a Territory Manager, covering Wellington to New Plymouth.

 

This role will be working for Thirsty Camel Ltd - a Joint Venture with Campari Global representing amazing premium portfolio with spirits, liqueurs and mixers. Some of which include Aperol, Campari, Coruba, Appleton Estate, Wild Turkey, Kraken, Chartreuse, Fever-Tree and more.

 

You’ll be the face of our company - you'll be out in the trade working with our customers to develop our business as well as theirs. Your proven experience working in the Liquor industry as a Territory Manager means you can hit the ground running and know how to provide an outstanding level of service to our customers and build strong relationships. Your commercial acumen and high level of understanding in trade math will make you stand out as a successful applicant. Executing sales plans, managing monthly call plans and driving further growth of your account base and overall business is what motivates you. This role will appeal to those who enjoy working consistently at good speed, building a strong profitable territory that reflects their efforts. You will be focussing on hitting distribution and sales targets.

 

We’re looking for a local, you’ll know the area well and be comfortable navigating the surrounding areas. In this role, you’ll need to have excellent organisation, communication and relationships at store level to achieve sales targets. You’ll have the freedom to apply your flexible and entrepreneurial working style to contribute to the ongoing success of the Thirsty Camel team. You want to be part of a team where collaboration, success and a sense of humour are integral to the culture of the company.

 

This position will appeal to an exceptional person who has proven experience as a Territory Manager in the liquor industry, though will consider a current Territory Manager with the right attitude and willing to learn. Someone that has growth aspirations, looks forward to dealing with challenges and is not scared to pitch in when needed!

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to provide a high level of customer service

  • Build on our success in the New Zealand marketplace

  • Work autonomously to manage your monthly call plan and growing accounts

  • Achieve budgeted sales and distribution targets

  • Identify and capitalise on local market opportunities to build sales and profitability

  • Merchandising and activating promotional plans with customers

 

You will have: 

  • Drive, motivation, and a passion for sales.

  • Able to demonstrate sales experience and proven management skills with a minimum of 3-5 years in Liquor industry, though sales skills and attitude could sway us !

  • Outstanding customer service focus and communication skills

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify customer needs and provide solutions

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • High levels of resilience and problem-solving skills

  • Want to be part of a team that continues to build on the already established business
