General Description of the Role
The Channel & Customer Marketing (CCM) Manager is responsible for developing insight driven trade specific brand activation programs that drive profitable growth in Off Premise for our French Icon brands (Spirits & Wine). The position works closely with Brand Marketing, Sales and CCM to ensure the programs are in line with Brand and Channel Strategy.

Enable increased volume and profitable sales through the development of effective trade programs that engage the targeted consumer.

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & ANALYSIS
• Analyzes market data to develop channel and market insights for the development of fact based program development.

• Develops brand and channel standards and guidelines
• Works closely with agencies to develop sub-channel and account specific program solutions
• Works closely with with the brand teams to develop through the line programs against an assigned portfolio within the off premise.

• Leads the planning, execution, including budget management
• Regulary reviews program performance; presents findings to Marketing and Sales to influence future programming, development of brand plans, channel strategies and “below the line” marketing programs.
• Ensures programs deliver targeted KPIs and are able to be efficiently executed in the field.

• Interacts with sales and distributor and conducts regular market visits to keep current on market trends and proactively make program recommendations to optimize opportunities and mitigate threats.

• Coordinates with the CCM Counterparts, Trade Engagement and Field Marketing Manager team, to ensure alignment on program execution and leverage the ideas and resources
• Works with agencies to drive the timely and effective delivery of programs that deliver desired growth and ROI targets
• Coordinates and executes tie-in partnerships in tandem with off premise CCM team

 

BUDGET & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
• Establishes measures and objectives to assess program effectiveness

• Manages the agency budgets to ensure quality delivery of creative program details
• Using market insights, develops market investment budget recommendations
• Establishes a tracking and reporting tool to monitor activities, correlate activities to sales and monitor ROI

• Leads quarterly business reviews across coupon vendors

 

COMMUNICATION PLANNING
• Contributes to integrated and collaborative communication process across CCM, US Marketing and Field Sales

• Proactively builds strong partnerships with Brand Marketing and Field Activation
• Ensures the brand strategy and program plan is effectively executed in all Brand Ambassador events

 

Key Relationships
Internal: Channel & Customer Marketing, US Marketing, Field Sales and Field Activation
External: Agencies, Partnerships, Distributors

 

Experience Required
• 5 years experience in Marketing or Customer Marketing, of which at least 3 years must be in managing the activation of Off Premise trade programs in the US Market; spirits background experience preferred

• Experience in managing external agencies a plus

 

Education / Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA in Marketing or Business preferred.

• Strong program marketing skills with an ability to turn quantitative insights into creative trade programs that drive profitable growth

• A demonstrated capability driving growth through innovation, successfully leading promotional activations
• Excellent knowledge of Off Premise trade activation needs
• Ability to create, nurture and sustain a brand ambassador “brand” for Campari
• Experience or knowledge of Off Premise National Account universe
• Competent project management skills to deliver on time and in full

 

Technical
• Strong planning, communication and analytical skills with a foundation of financial/business acumen

• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

Managerial
• Drive results through collaborative partnerships with Brand Marketing

• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to effectively manage large teams to deliver a consistent result
• Strong leadership, conceptual, and creative skills

 

Essential Job Functions
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

• Read and analyze data from a variety of sources and mediums
• Develop and execute effective presentations
• Communicate regularly by phone, email and in-person meetings with key stakeholders such as field Sales, Agencies etc.

 

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $121,800 - $152,200. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors and considerations. In addition to base salary and a generous employee benefits package, employees are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
