General Description of the Role

 

The Logistics and Inventory Analyst role provides support to operations and planning across New Zealand. The role is responsible for inventory and master data maintenance, logistics co-ordination across the NZ Network; and analysis and delivery of Supply Chain KPI reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

  • Undertake daily stock reconciliation, collaborating with 3PL, Customer Service and Supply Planning Team.
  • Complete stock movements/ adjustments in SAP as required
  • Investigate stock variances to uncover causes and rectify.
  • Publish routine and adhoc reporting and analysis for stakeholders
  • Provide inputs and analysis to drive decisions in relation to inventory settings and holdings whilst maintaining the appropriate stock availability and service level to our customers.
  • Provide recommendations on areas to drive improved supply chain performance
  • Analyse warehouse and transaction data to identify opportunities.
  • Work with supply networks to optimise warehouse costs, improve availability, lead-times, delivery schedules and other factors.
  • Periodical attendance at the warehouse to ensure stock take and quick resolution of differences to Book.
  • Ensure timely resolution to any damages (rework or remission)
  • Attend internal/external meeting as required.
  • Participate in and undertake project work as required.
  • Carry out testing on new SAP functionality as and when required

 

Experience Required:

 

  • This role requires an experienced person in logistics and/or planning with reporting and analyst skills.
  • Hands on experience with deployment requirements planning (DRP) highly desirable.
  • Industry knowledge advantageous, FMCG background required.
  • SAP experience essential.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and following through within a fast paced (matrix) environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel user with extensive experience using Formulae, Pivot Tables, and V-look ups.
  • Well developed interpersonal skills to enable effective communication with suppliers, customers, management, technology specialists and peers.
  • Commitment to standardisation of best practice planning and inventory management principles.
